Mandraki Beach Resort - Adults Only

I am what one may call a Greek fanatic. I have been coming to Greece for years, tried many high end hotels, but The Mandraki is the perfect spot to relax, cast all your stress away. It’s located in Hydra. If, like me, you enjoy daily boat rides, know you need a shuttle to access the hotel in only 10 minutes. Upon arrival, you will be shown to your room, the majority of which open directly onto one of the cleanest private sandy beaches I have experienced. Luxury hides in the details. The hotel was designed with great taste, in accordance with today’s luxury standards (but not an in-the-nose luxury) and with the history of the site, which is a former naval base. It’s feels like you are on a typical Greek harbor, though enjoying the peace and quiet of a 30 suites + facility. Very authentic and chic! Last but not least, art lovers will be pleased to know that one space was turned into a must-see art gallery. I wish I had come when there is yoga classes. We took the resort’s boat from Hydra harbour and spent a beautiful day at the beach club. Very friendly and professional staff and tranquil location. Lunch was excellent. It was not the cheap option but it was a fantastic way to chill for the day.

An extraordinary resort unlike anywhere else on Hydra. Gracious owners, amazing staff and incredible food. The location is overwhelmingly beautiful and so tranquil. The resort is surrounded by great trails with amazing views. They have a boat available for guests, but also a short walk into Hydras central port. Tasos and and Manolis were so kind. We cant wait to return.

A new favorite in #Greece : the island of Hydra Many thanks to the Mandraki Beach Resort for taking such wonderful care of me for the weekend, a true 5-star experience. My room included its own heated jacuzzi pool, alongside Hydra's only full sand beach, where I had a rejuvenating swim in the sea. The Chef prepared delicious cuisine and the owner Arthur and his wife Janice's personal involvement in most all details made this a much more local, yet luxurious stay for me. Apparently this resort is the only place on the island to serve sushi, which was fresh and innovative. I enjoyed the short 20 minute walk into the adorable town of Hydra, and also ran this same route, enjoying the breathtaking vistas along the way. In the evening, this little town hums to life with dancing and bars, especially loved the wind mill bar.

This place is simply stunning – beautiful location, incredible atmosphere, and absolutely top-notch hospitality. The restaurant was a real highlight: the food was delicious and the chef truly exceptional. Every dish was a joy! The whole team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable – they were so kind, helpful, and always available for anything we needed. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

We had a great experience from day one. Suzanne was awesome with communication via email and the lady on site from Crete (sorry i forget her name) was also awesome with help and communication. There was a ferry strike and they totally helped us avoid any travel issues
