The Post House

I currently work quite regularly in the area and it has taken me some time to find somewhere to stay that would work as my preferred choice, and I think I may have. The rates are pretty good for the standard of bed and breakfast offered. Second, the location is on a quiet street and the site has gated access, so pretty secure. These are important things. Next the breakfast. You'll see a photo of the menu options in the traveller photos, to give you an idea, but I'm not sure it will fully prepare most people from the standard and presentation of what will arrive. Way above typical B&B standards, with plenty of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juice to accompany your choice. The breakfast room is also a very pleasant little spot. Coffee is filter variety. The only room I have stayed in so far was comfortable, clean and warm. The hospitality tray was well stocked with a range of options, the wifi worked very well and the bathroom with shower, although small, was clean. The range of toiletries was very good, the water was hot and shower pressure was great. Towels were clean thick and fluffy. The owner resides across the courtyard, so you don't need to worry about bothering any family business of your B&B host as you access and egress. Access to the rooms upstairs was via a staircase, so if that's a problem for you, this might not be for you, otherwise it is everything you could ask for, and bit more.

We were visiting nearby Hugglescote for a 90th birthday party and decided on The Post House. Everything was perfect, secure gated parking, lovely room with everything you could possibly need and more, excellent breakfast and a host who really knows how to look after you. We will definitely stay again when next in the area.

Susan our host was warm and welcoming, the property was beautiful and our room was really nice. The breakfast was gorgeous! We come to Ibstock to visit our friends for their Christmas party every year and this was the first time we'd chosen to find somewhere else to stay. Needless to say, we'll be making a stay at The Post House part of our annual tradition and we're looking forward to staying again next year!

We booked the Post house as we were going to a family party near by and we could not all stay in the party house Felt very welcomed at the start shown the post house and facilities which has excellent secure parking Room was very clean and well set out with all you could need Bed was super comfy and slept well Shower very hot and easy to use Breakfast was tasty and hosted well Overall all you could want and we are going back next year for a wedding weekend

Our go to stopover in Ibstock..wonderful hosts..lovely room which was immaculate..warm and cisy too..great breakfast with a lovely selection on offet ..but best of all for us..the private gated parking. Good eateries within walking distance
