Little Green Bay

We recently spend a week at Little Green Bay in Hvar, Croatia and had the absolute BEST time! Our vacation began when our driver - arranged by LGB - picked us up from the airport and whisked us off to a waiting boat where we cast aside our luggage and promptly began enjoying the scenery. In just under an hour, we disembarked on the charming dock at LIttle Green Bay! The hotel is situated in a beautiful cove that feels simultaneously private and convivial. Our room was lovely - with a comfortable bed, good linens, and a view of the Adriatic see. It would be easy to spend a week lounging seaside and enjoying the good restaurant and snorkeling on site but it would be a crime not to allow the concierge to organize at least one of the wonderful excursions that are available. While at LGB we made use of their daily shuttle to Hvar Town. We took three excursions organized by the hotel and we recommend them all highly. We took a bike tour of the UNESCO protected island, through vineyards and ancient olive groves. We did a day long fishing excursion and ate our catch for dinner, and we chartered a boat that took us island hopping, snorkeling, to a magical lunch on a secluded island, and a wine tasting. The tour guides on all of our excursion were thoughtful, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing their island with us. Similarly, the staff at the hotel were all friendly, warm, and happy to offer recommendations and assist with reservations. If it sounds like our stay at Little Green Bay was luxurious, relaxing, educational and fun, that’s because it was all this and more. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!!

We had an amazing time at this hotel, the location is truly idyllic, the hidden bay is a paradise, and the people were very welcoming. We will be back!

The team at LGB are so friendly and accommodating. The cleanliness, quality of the food (and coffee!), position - all of it magnificent. Swimming in the bay, the quietness, peace and being in nature here humbles you and makes you grateful. There is a free shuttle in the evening into the port which is only 10 minutes away. Honestly, it’s paradise!!

Just steps outside your room, the crystal clear ocean is what you expect from a movie scene. The staff is absolutely amazing, Dorian made our stay perfect. The restaurant onsite was incredible, get the sea bass! Coming from LA, this is the ultimate getaway.

A fantastic, romantic, cosy, bubbly retreat. A private bay, away from it all, with the clearest water and wonderful service. No pool, but enough to do (kayak, swimming, sup) in the bay. So beautiful that we had 3 days of rest at the hotel, looking at the view from all angles and during all times of the day. We (parents, big daughter) loved it and will most certainly return. The food is so good, the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Good advice on where to go, they arrange guides and restaurants and everything. We stayed for a week and could easily have stayed longer.

What a peaceful gem 10 minutes drive outside the busy town of Hvar. A big thank you to all of the staff who made our stay memorable; so helpful and friendly. Think even more could be made of the grounds and facilities, as such a tranquil place. The breakfast on offer was excellent and we also enjoyed lunch/dinner produced by their French chef, who was charming. We had a garden room which was very clean and as well as the bathroom, had a bath & shower on the terrace. The only downside was the shuttle service was only into Hvar once in the evening with no return, hence €30 every time you returned or visited. We used Kuzma for our taxi ride to Stari Grad who was like a tour guide informing us of the history of Hvar. Very busy at night in Hvar town even in September, so it was refreshing to return to the hotel to enjoy the lovely cocktails and watch the sunset.
