Hampton Inn Dayton/Huber Heights

Looks like the hotel has been renovated, but a few things lack desire. The elevator is loud and frankly...scary. The breakfast was luke warm and disgusting. There was paint peeling in the room, the sheets didn't fit the bed, the shower door didn't stay closed, and the AC unit was broken. The worst part was the staff. Rude and unhelpful. When notified that the AC until was broken, the night attendant said there wasn't anything she could do and to talk to the manager in the morning. When approaching the manager, she just said "I've got it down". There was no eye contact, no solution, and no "Sorry". We are Diamond members and only stay at Hilton properties. We have come to enjoy the well run hotels, but this is not one of them. We will never stay at this hotel again!

We stayed one night e route to St. Louis. It is conveniently located off I-70. The hotel is well maintained and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was good. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a very solid Hampton. It's been recently renovated and it looks great. Service was good and the bed was very comfortable. It was very hot the weekend that we were here and the AC had no issues keeping up, so that was good. If I were in the area and needed a place to stay, I would definitely stay here.

Right off rt 70, very clean, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay very much the only drawback...the breakfast was not any good. The only hot thing they offered was biscuits with sausage gravy which I tried but couldn't eat. The only eggs they had were hard boiled, no sausage, no bacon, no ham, breakfast NO good.

Business I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the appalling experience I endured during my recent stay at your Hampton Inn / Layton Huber Heights I OH. As a Lifetime Diamond member, I have come to expect a certain level of service from IHG properties, but my stay on 8.20-8.22 was far below any acceptable standard. This lack of foresight and customer service was exacerbated when I checked in. I had to beg the night auditor to push the button to open the door, a door that wouldn't open properly. The key cards provided were non-functional, and to add insult to injury, I was woken up after very little sleep before an important meeting, all so that I could move my car. The overall disregard for my comfort and convenience was astonishing, reflecting a complete breakdown in service standards. When I arrived at the hotel site at approximately 12:30 AM, I was informed that despite accepting my reservation, the staff could only open one night and that they were 'doing me a favor.' I attempted to call other hotels, but I couldn't find anything open. This situation could have been avoided with proper training for your staff on how to evaluate room oversold situations. Rather than removing the one-night stays, your team decided to inconvenience a frequent and loyal guest, setting the tone for what was to come. I arrived at the hotel around 1:00 AM, only to find the parking situation in complete disarray. The designated spots were full, forcing me to park on the side of the building, which already seemed overcrowded. Upon reaching the entrance, I found myself unable to reach the door button to gain access. I phoned the front desk, where the night auditor, dressed unprofessionally in a T-shirt and shorts, instructed me to push the button. I explained that I couldn't reach it and requested that he open the door from his side, which he eventually did. It is beyond me why he didn't simply open the door upon receiving my call, considering his position and my difficulty. The lack of basic service did not stop there. Upon check-in, I was informed that the hotel was out of plastic key cards due to poor management. Despite attempting to check in electronically, this process failed, leaving me reliant on the front desk's inadequate preparation. When I finally reached my room, I discovered that the key didn't work. I had requested two keys, but neither was functional, requiring the night auditor to escort me to my room and unlock the door. By this time, it was well past 1:20 AM. Just as I was settling down for the night, at approximately 6:45 AM, there was a knock on my door. It was the night auditor again, this time accompanied by the general manager. They demanded that I immediately move my car from where I had parked the night before. I explained that I had only recently gone to bed and would prefer to handle it later, but they insisted that it could not wait. The complete disregard for my rest and privacy was both shocking and entirely unnecessa

We stayed at this hotel overnight during a long drive. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfy, and we all got a good night's sleep. Breakfast had plenty of options even for my picky eater kiddos. No complaints, we would stay here again!

We had chosen the room from the app. I believe it was 227 or 228. We had gotten in late (11:30pm) and tired. We noticed the mold smell when we arrived but just continued to get ready for bed since it was only one night. When I opened the blinds in the morning is when we noticed the wall and ceiling. It was terrible. I’m sure there had been a water leak at some point and not cleaned properly. We were in a hurry so we checked out on the app and dropped the key at the counter. The desk clerk was helping customers so we didn’t let her know. Our fault for not asking for another room or letting them know at checkout. I just want to make sure it gets repaired. Not happy with that stay. The room was clean and the beds are semi comfortable.

Paris Hilton is an absolute angel and so is Christy at the front desk. She is one of the best people you can have working for you. I hope she is promoted soon, as she is the only reason I will be coming back to Ohio anytime soon. You know why there are so many astronauts that come from Ohio? They would rather go to space than hang out in Ohio. LOLOL. Christy is the best, hands down. Give her a raise Paris. The Simple Life 2.0. You ain’t seen nothing yet Christy. ;)

Easy check in and check out. All of the staff members that I encountered said hello to me and were all very friendly. There are several food options nearby within walking distance. If your vehicle is covered in road-funk, there is an automatic car wash right next door. The indoor pool was clean & nice. The fitness center was clean and has a great selection of dumbells & cardio machines. A mirror would be a nice addition to the gym. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of healthy options. The only glitch was that the room door's top hinge was loose due to stripped screws. It was impossible to engage the deadbolt without lifting up on the door first. The two staff members who I mentioned this to thanked me for letting them know, which was exactly the right answer. Hopefully, this door has been repaired by now as it is a five minute fix tops.
