Great location and service. Could walk to the South entrance in 15-20min and sit just outside the hotel to watch sunsets on the mountain. We were upgraded at no cost. Helpful advice on both mountain routes and general information (to climb to the popular summit you need to register in advance, regular entrance ticket doesn't apply), and the conversation always came with green tea.

Zhu Xi is an amazing host and kind hearted person. He made my 3 nights stay at the Min Er Ju Mei Su hotel memorable. This place and its cats feels like a home with a quiet and warm vibe. The hotel is at a 20mn walking distance from the bus stop to access to Huangshan. It’s easy to grab food and drinks on the way to catch the bus in the morning. Zhu gave me a bigger room at my arrival and some good tips to prepare my hikes to Huangshan. the room is simple yet clean and nice, and furnished with japanese style toilets. I’m grateful for the homemade tea and help to arrange driver pickup to bring me to the Tunxi Airport, even though I would rather advise the punctuality of a Didi over cheaper fair but lack of reliably of the driver. Definitely an hotel I would recommend and would return to if you want to stay in Tangkou to explore Huangshan and like to connect with friendly folks!

We booked this place to stay the night before our overnight trip to Huangshan. The hotel is located between the Tangkou bus station and the Huangshan entrance gates, so you might have to take another bus or taxi (which however are very cheap to get there. The shuttle bus you need to take in the morning is in walking distance though. Upon arrival, the host gave us a free upgrade after a friendly conversation and a lot of good advice for the following trip to the mountain. The room we stayed in was probably one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in on our travels in Asia, and definitely the best value for money so far. The hotel also offers free luggage storage and offered us to borrow some hiking poles (which we unfortunately forgot in the morning). When we came back the day after, we were even allowed to take a quick shower before getting on our Taxi out of town. Overall, we couldnt have wished for a better stay and would recommend anyone visiting Huangshan to stay here.

A very cozy hotel with a warm, home-like atmosphere. The view from the window is just like a postcard — absolutely breathtaking. The location is great — only a 10-minute easy walk to the shuttle stop that takes you to the mountains. The hotel owner is incredibly friendly and kind. Upon arrival, he upgraded me to a more spacious and comfortable room at no extra charge. He also helped me plan the best route based on my available time and the weather conditions, and shared many interesting stories about the local history. The rooms are clean and well-equipped (hairdryer, air conditioning, toiletries). I had read in previous reviews about weak water pressure and unstable temperature, but everything worked perfectly for me. My room had a shower and a small bathtub. There’s also an option to order food to the hotel, but I chose to have dinner in different spots around town — there are plenty of cafes nearby, as well as pharmacies and supermarkets. At the end of my stay, the hotel owner arranged a transfer to the station for me, which cost five times less than a regular taxi ride. Even after I returned home, he reached out to check if I got back safely and if everything was alright. I’m very happy with the hotel and the quality of service. Thank you for the warm hospitality! The place was really comfortable it has everything needed and the staff was amazing and very helpful.

We were 4 friends traveling for fall break. We love the stay! Super friendly staff. It was really close to the bus that takes you up the mountain. Would recommend
