After walking across the whole mountain, i can safely say shillin had the most convenient location. Super friendly staff and fresh clean rooms. Even provided free utensils such as water and toothbrushes even though this was not promised due to the difficulty in transporting goods to the location. Went up to see the sunrise at the monkey peak which was amazing. Only minus is that the optional dinner was mid for a fairly high price, however this can be overlooked considering the circumstances!

Not my usual price range but no choices on the mountain top...worth staying over to see sunrise etc. Great buffet dinner but no cheap alternatives so you are forced to buy it. Lovely relaxing hotel with nice photography art everywhere. Loved my stay.

I had a wonderful time at the yellow mountain. 客服小蒋is very detailed in advising on the route to take for the climb and even meet the hotel guests for the best view for sunset.

Old hotel but that’s expected. Near to venue if you want to see the sunrise. Breakfast is above average

Silin is one of the closest hotels to Yungu cable car station. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the concierge/butler, Mr Li. Mr Li has been very helpful in providing locational photography tips to me. The hotel also provided a free photography session, tea leaves and a mysterious cave tour (which I didn't partake in). Silin provides down jackets for photographers going for dawn photography. There is a food cart operating during the day outside the hotel. There isn't any food options besides Silin's restaurant. Over all I had a positive experience at Silin. I would recommend it.

Great experience. Friendly, prepared for the snow/cold by lending me a warm jacket, great location to wake up early and see sunrise. I booked for 2 nights but the weather caused many activities to be closed so I checked out 1 day early and requested a refund for the day I didn’t stay (by messaging with a representative on Trip.com, they initiated the request and I made sure the hotel was aware so they could approve). The only thing I would ask to change is that the smoking smell from the hallway creeped into the room (I requested a none smoking room). Maybe have 1 floor or a section of the floor non-smoking but I understand it is culture to smoke. Even though the weather prevented me from seeing a clear sky sunrise, it was worth staying at the top for 1 night so I didn’t have to carry much as I explored, being able to borrow a jacket to stay warm and rest between walks at the hotel.

We are a family of 5 and just stayed two nights at Huangshan Shilin Hotel.  We had a great time and highly recommend staying two nights on the top of the mountain.  Shilin is conveniently located near the cable car and where you see the sunrise and sun set.  When the weather is good the hotel organizes guests to see sunrise and sunset.  They provide flashlights and even coats for guests.  We ordered at their restaurant for two dinners and their food was delicious.  Overall we truly enjoyed breathtaking view of Huangshan.

The room was well throught through and had everything a traveller would need. It was very cold the day I arrived, so a pre warmed room was a great touch. They even provided extra thick jackets for sunrise/set missions. There was adequate hangers and a drying rack right above the heater which made post hiking washing a breeze. It was also on the quieter side of the mountain, so it was extremely pleasant in the late afternoons and early morning when the day visitors are off the mountain. Overall very happy with my stay, even with the premium attached to staying on the mountain.

had an amazing stay! service provided 管家小李 was exceptional. explained everything very clearly to me and allowed me to clarify any doubts, and even recommended me a route to hike! it was also great that the hotel brought us to sunset/sunrise spots. very very satisfied!

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. From the quality of the hotel’s breakfast and location to the responsiveness of our assigned caretaker: 小河(XiaoHe). Upon arrival I added 小河’s WeChat and was shown - on a map - what I could expect to see given the length of our stay. I was even given information about the likelihood of a clear sunset/sunrise - and when my girlfriend needed it 小河 called the mountain clinic to purchase Pain killers! My favorite part of the hotel will have to be its location. It’s a 30 minute walk from YunGu cablecar, a 10 minute walk from a good sunset/sunrise spot!

We were please to stay in your Hotel and can recommend this Hotel.  A very friendly check in! The receptionist was very kind and courteous. There was also directly the Agent who get in touch with us. Via WeChat he gave us a lot of information about the current weather in Huangshan Mountain, the times of the sunset, sunrise and was any time available via WeChat for other questions or support. Then he brought us the our room. Our room was very nice decorated and equipped with everything you need. It was also very clean. The most noticeable were the modern shower and toilet! We had a breakfast and dinner in the Hotel. Both of them was a Buffet with a large selection of different dishes with high quality. At this point a great thanks to the kitchen staff. Xiao Li is really helpful, provided a lot of guidance during the stay. Hotel have staffs who will bring you to the nearest mountain to catch sunset/sunrise

First of all, fairly easy to get to, and the manager will direct you on the routes to take. The day was sunny and we went about to West Canyon. This is a must see and fun. The rest is pedestrian. We went to see the sunset with the hotel. Not much happened. It rained in the morning, so no sunrise tour. However, after the rain was the mist, giving credit to its fame.
