Biohostal Mindo Cloud Forest

Stayed 3 nights at Bio Hostal Mindo. Comfortable hostal with delicious choice options for breakfast, laundry services available, and a fabulous staff that is willing to share recommendations. Situated a short distance from the central square, with many food choices available, and a ton of coffee shops 🤗. Definitely a good value for the money.

I felt completely at home with Luis and Esperanza my hosts. The space was very comfortable and the dining space open to the trees and the hummingbirds. I felt relaxed with the easy going energy and highly recommend it to people who like a casual and nature based feeling I’m going back whenever I’m in Mindo. I love Mindo!

Absolutely beautiful hostel, felt really safe here. The owner was so kind and helpful for us at all hours of the day, booking tours and helping with anything we needed, and the included breakfast was really delicious. Hummingbirds everywhere by the open sided dining room. Perfect place to stay. Was off season so not many other guests for atmosphere but did not effect our enjoyment of the hostel :) would definitely stay again

What a lovely place to stay! Having breakfast with the hummingbirds was amazing. Luis and Esperanza were so friendly and helpful. They made us a delicious breakfast every day. It was extra but worth it. Close to the centre of town and easy to get everywhere. A 4km walk to el jardín de mariposas was very worthwhile. Luis was kind enough to arrange for a taxi to pick us up there. Highly recommend staying here.

Really nice guesthouse- very clean family run place with a convenient location. Loved watching the hummingbirds and tanagers at the feeders! Just be sure to bring plenty of cash to Mindo- the one ATM does not honor foreign debit cards.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our time in Mindo. We were welcomed by the very friendly owner, who helped us sort out an activity plan for our 2 days to get the most out of it. He even helped us book activities. He speaks english very well, but the rest of the family/owners only speak Spanish. The breakfast was delicious and in wonderful surroundings and with a great view. Very good location. Rooms are very basic, but clean. The major downside was the ongoing noise from either barking dogs (all night long!) or the nearby school/sports facility and just common noise from the streets. I’m guessing the noise is probably a problem not specific for this place, and would therefore recommend anyways.
