It was a short walk to the Hualien Train Station. After exiting the station, it is best to turn right along the trellised pavement and head towards the main street parallel to the station. Google map showed a zig zag way of getting to the hotel but I think it is easier to just walk along this main road (to the right) and then turn left at the next crossing. The hotel is at the corner after a short walk. There was a female staff manning the reception but she gets off work at 8.30pm. Thankfully we were assigned a room on level 2 cos there are no elevators. Room was small and table and chairs had to be reorganised in order to fit our medium size luggage and allow space to move around. Toilet is completely glass and yes, there are curtains to draw for privacy. Toilet seat is very close to the glass door and if you have long legs, you might have to adjust them when using the toilet. We had some issues with the shower head and we messaged through Line and the female staff managed to get it fixed. There was a kettle on a trolley in the room but I didn't know where to connect the plug to use it. It was easier for me to go downstairs to collect cold or hot filtered water. Snacks are also available foc but no microwave.
