Good location for tourist spots but quite noisy if you don't like the constant noise of beeping horns from the nearby road (not sure if it is even possible to escape this in India). It did get better between say 10.30pm and 8am). The train (immediately outside the hotel entrance) screeches by but not frequently, boat engines can be heard in the distance but it's on a river 😅. It was a bit of a party boat on some nights (loud and late disco noise if there is an event). The noise stopped at around 9pm one night but went on much later on another night; if your room is close to the bar it may be an issue was wasn't too bad for me as i use ear plugs. The most irritating noise, believe it or not, is people shouting or having loud conversations in the corridors. The room is 3* and there is no safe for your passport, cash, cards etc. The pillows, bed covers and floors were't cleaned particularly well. I had to help myself to consumables from the corridor as they weren't topped up by cleaners. Anyway, a very brief stay could be a good experience, one night maybe.I am pleased to have had the experience and despite the shortfalls would probably recommend it as a one off unique experience, for one or two nights. The breakfast was very good with lovely river views and a chill atmosphere.

Good hotel !!

Planned our wedding at this beautiful hotel with a 2-night, 3-day stay, and it was an unforgettable experience. First off, the mesmerizing views of the river Ganges and Howrah Bridge set the perfect backdrop for our stay. The location itself elevates the entire experience. Secondly, the staff was incredibly warm, helpful, and always ready to assist. From the front desk and housekeeping to the F&B service, everyone was polite and attentive to every little detail. A special mention to Duty Manager Mr. Soumen—what a soft-spoken gentleman! He went above and beyond, ensuring we got our desired rooms and fulfilling all our requests with a smile. His dedication and hospitality set a true benchmark for this hotel. A huge shout-out to Mr. Shabbi and Ms. Sayanti for flawlessly coordinating and planning our event. They never said no to anything, always eager to help with even the smallest details. Their cooperation, professionalism, and politeness made all the difference—they are true assets to this hotel. Also, a big thanks to Rakesh from Banquets and Rupankar from Front Office, who played a key role in making our stay even more special. Kudos to the entire Polo Floatel team! We can't wait to visit again soon. Thank you for making our special day even more memorable!
