Metro Buses 82 and 56 arrive every 12-15 minutes at stops just a few short blocks away from Hopkins House. Montrose Bus 56 takes you to Museums and Zoo and medical center where you can switch to Metro rail line that can take you to NRG park, University of Houston or along Main St downtown. Westheimer Bus 82 also takes you downtown to YMCA and theater district. Upon request, we provide our guests with $5 Metro Q-cards that allow cashless bus fare payment. They can be preloaded at the local Kroger Grocery Store 1.3 miles from Hopkins house on West Grey St. Alternatively, downloading the Metro App lets you use your smartphone to pay.
