Finding exceptional accommodations at a reasonable price can be challenging these days. However, L'Invitation au Voyage truly lives up to its name. This small hotel stands out from the rest with its friendly and knowledgeable staff and impeccably clean, spacious, and comfortable facilities. We felt like we had been transported to a new level of hospitality. The breakfast was generous, even by American standards, and the owners worked alongside the staff to provide outstanding service and delicious treats. Honfleur is a charming and beautiful town, making it an ideal location to explore Normandy. Choosing L'Invitation au Voyage for our stay was the perfect decision. Thanks to our Parisian friends, Paolo and Jean Jacques, for recommending this remarkable hotel.

Excellent family run hotel in the centre of Honfleur. Spacious rooms - we were upgraded to a Deluxe Room with a lovely balcony. Fabulous breakfast and a small bar for an early evening drink before heading out to dinner. They gave us recommendations for restaurants and maps and suggestions of places to visit in the area. There is also a small car park just across the road which was free and managed to find a space. We would definitely return to this hotel again.

Nestled in a charming old street right next to the picturesque Honfleur harbor, this hotel strikes the perfect balance between historic charm and modern calm. Sandra and Pierre went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was seamless. My husband and I dined at the restaurants they recommended and our meals were all exceptional. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with high-quality amenities. What really sets this hotel apart is its unbeatable location. With only steps away from the waterfront, we could easily stroll to the harbor and enjoy Honfleur’s vibrant atmosphere, shops, and restaurants. Yet, despite being in the heart of it all, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat, making it the perfect base to explore this stunning town.

We have just returned from 6 luxurious nights in the most charming of hotels where everyone goes the extra mile to ensure satisfaction. On entering you quickly see how chic the place is with high quality decorations, furnishing and lighting. Everything is spotless. Pierre was a star even going to the parking machine which was giving us trouble. We learned that the charming couple who look after breakfast are actually the owners of this 19 room oasis of calm and comfort. This is almost certainly why it is so good – hands on owners. The young lady on reception when Pierre wasn’t was also a great help and she told me she replies to the TripAdvisor comments (nice that they do many can’t be bothered), so a big thank you. The room was fabulous (103) and I would recommend a room at the front overlooking the charming little square as it’s great for people watching. Fresh lemonade in the fridge and Nespresso coffee (what else?) and they use Nespresso coffee not cheap capsules like many hotels do who boast Nespresso. The hotel is within metres of several excellent restaurants and is nicely away for the main very busy part of Honfleur, but in no way distant from the action. As I said in the title, I really don’t know why anyone would want to stay anywhere else – unless price is your sole driver, because you get what you pay for. Thanks all, we will remember it for a long time – but it’s not the easiest name to remember unless of course you are a student of French poetry, it being famous.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. It is in a fantastic position in Honfleur, everything is within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Honfleur is a beautiful town and well worth staying for at least one night and this is the Hotel to use. The rooms are modern and extremely comfortable

Attentive and staff that will go above and beyond for you. Their breakfast is absolutely delicious with fresh, high quality ingredients. They also offer breakfast in bed for an additional 5 euros. Clean, modern rooms. All you could ask for. I would definitely be back.
