I discovered this gem while looking online for a place to stay during our recent visit to the Amana Colonies. We could not have made a better choice. We were greeted by the owner, Marc, who instantly made you feel like an old friend. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was by far better than anything in a restaurant and was so satisfying we did not need lunch. My husband and I both enjoyed the framed century plus aged photos that lined the hallway. If you are in the area I urge you to stay in this lovely slice of heaven.

We booked this lovely Die Heimat Country B&B in Homestead, IA for our 49th Wedding Anniversary get-away and were pleasantly surprised at what a delightful place it turned out to be. The proprietors, June & Marc, were very friendly and hospitable with fun stories, plus they served excellent breakfasts (for our two-night stay). The whole place was clean and comfortable with pretty gardens outside. It was also conveniently located to explore the Amana Colonies, and the Renaissance Faire. We would definitely return here again if ever in the area, and highly recommend it.

My husband and I spent a night at the lovely Die Heimat Country Inn in Homestead. The inn is quaint with lots of history in the photos. We appreciated the fact that we could choose our room on the first floor. June and Marc are delightful hosts. Delicious breakfast! Mark took ownership in the tasty coffee. We hope to make a return visit.

This was a very nice inn. The room was very clean. The owners were friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Coffee was out early, which I appreciated. There's cold drinking water in the fridge downstairs which was a huge plus for me. Nice area, perfect for a morning walk.

We had the most wonderful time staying here. The Inn was exceptionally clean and very well run. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The rooms were very comfortable . The location is but a few minutes to Amana Colonies, well worth the drive. Marc and June were very friendly and run a great place.

I enjoyed everything about my stay at Die Heimat Country Inn this past week as part of a group of 8 friends - the charming and comfortable home, my cozy room, the absolutely delicious breakfast and the warm hospitality of Marc and June, my hosts. The Inn is convenient to the main areas of Amana. The grounds around the Inn are beautifulI and peaceful. I also appreciated learning more about the history of the area from Marc and June as well. I highly recommend Die Heimat Country Inn as a wonderful place to stay when in the Amana Iowa area.

The room was delightful as was the house. Our hosts were terrific--very personable. Our breakfasts were scrumptious, and we were able to copy a recipe. We would highly recommend staying there. It's only three miles from Amana (the largest colony), which was a treasure. Pam & Susan

Jane and Marc couldn't be better hosts! They go out of their way to make sure one's welcome, serve delicious hot breakfasts in the morning and have made their Inn a comfortable, cozy place to stay. The Inn is in Homestead, one of the seven Amana colonies, and close to Amana where most of the shops and restaurants are...and where you can sign up for a fantastic tour of the Amana Colonies.

This beautiful B&B was the highlight of all our stops in Iowa. Rich in history, the Die Heimat was quiet, beautifully appointed. With the yummiest hot breakfast ever! We are 70 and comfort is a big deal. It's here at DH, with welcoming hosts who make you feel so welcome. Hated to leave. Will go back. You won't be disappointed in the Die Heimat, Homestead ,Amana Colonies, Iowa.
