Visited with my family for a pre-Christmas meal. Fabulous food - we tried the tasting menu. Lovely atmosphere and terrific staff - particularly impressed by our young waiting team. Highly recommend and will look forward to visiting again

Gorgeous pub tucked away in a lovely village. The food is really something special and much needed in the area for a different night out. We had the a la carte option. The Ham Egg starter is lovely and the venison with celeriac puree was delicious albeit the sauce was a little sweet for me but it went well with the dish. The canapés are stunning and the sour dough bread with marmite butter starts the meal off perfectly. Really worth a visit. We’ve been twice and enjoyed both visits. Next trip booked for December.

My husband and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary here by having the 5 course tasting menu. Everything was delicious. All the different ingredients for the courses were explained to us by the very helpful staff, especially by Tom who was particularly knowledgeable. Couldn't fault the service. It is a little pricey - my husband had a glass of wine at £13 - but the food and drink are excellent and of the highest quality, so for a celebration once a year, it's nice to treat yourself !!

We booked in for our anniversary and ordered the five course taster menu, having the dessert made table side by the head chef was a fantastic experience. Also they gave us a anniversary card which was so thoughtful. Every course was fantastic and we were so full at the end. All the staff were 10/10

Really enjoyed the rustic feel to the place. Bed comfy, bath was a nice touch and the room was very homely. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was nice but didn’t like the ‘gammon’ style bacon and tomato chutney instead of a proper tomato. Would 100% recommend.

If you are looking for somewhere for fast junk food, then this is not the place for you. The Bulls Head has still retained its village pub feel, however Mark and his dedicated team have created a stunning menu with fresh produce and the result is just perfect. Our large group called in for a pre arranged lunch and were treated to a 8 course Taster Menu. Every course was tasty and delicious, served by very hardworking and caring staff, nothing was too much trouble. We will return. My only disappointment is that I live 40 miles away, otherwise I would eat there every week!!

Exceptional cooking and presentation - although we only enjoyed a main course from the bar menu there was no compromise on the obvious care and attention that had been made. This was reflected in the exceptional taste of every element on the plate - a humble chicken supreme was elevated to a gastronomic experience! Thank you.

We also found this great little place after booking it through the Porsche club. Having eaten at some really great fine dining restaurants this was easily on par with those at an exceptionally reasonable price. The kitchen staff worked tirelessly the afternoon we were in, & Mark & his team were extremely hospitable. We can't wait to go back. That village is very lucky to have access to a superb place like the Bulls Head

Amazing taster menu and simply awesome food! Mark takes passion and pride in his work and this shines through….. staff and service excellent. Felt totally pampered throughout. The portion sizes and variety involved are just right. Really eclectic mixes of food and vegetables and sauces; an education!
