Hotel Mayari Holbox

Nice little hotel in the centre of Holbox. Very friendly and English speaking people working there. We stayed for one night and enjoyed our stay.

Hotel y servicio maravilloso, con gente formada y profesional, muy anfitriones y facilitando buena información del lugar …Sin duda , siempre recomendaré este hotel a visitas futuras a Holbox. Incluso nos dejaron utilizar la piscina del rooftop, ya habiendo realizado el check out , esperando la hora de regreso en ferry por la tarde.

For the £100 paid we got a dirty room, no toilet roll or towels. Very disappointed. It has ruined the end of our travels. We were told that even the swimming pool was closed due to it being dirty. Was expecting a lot more.

We checked in on Thursday April 20. Everything was good. There was a nice pool and it seemed clean enough. They close the office at 9:00 pm so if you have problems after hours there is no one to call.. When we got up Friday morning we had no water. We asked the front desk, they said it was due to maintainance. Ok no problem as we were going to the beach anyway. so we came back around 5:00pm went to our room and still didn't have water. I asked the guy at the desk again and he said very soon it will be on. We at this time are pretty gross. We have sand from the ocean, sand and dust from the roads and whatever else was flying around. Long story short the water did not come out on Friday at all. We left at 11:00 am on Saturday and there still was no water. Funny thing, people were in the office and they were being checked in. He forgot to mention the part about not having water. Never again.

Upon arrival we were told we did not have a reservation. I had the online confirmation from Guru booking and was told Mayari no longer deals with Guru The Front Desk agent was able to get us a room (she was awesome) however we had to pay double the price we were confirmed Paper thin walls, doors slamming all hours of the night and the couple next to us had an all out screaming match from 330-5 am Only reason for 2 stars was the great Front Desk Agent There have to be better options on Holbox for $110 USD?

If you expect and like your room clean, and the basics of any hotel covered: towels, hot water and light, do NOT choose Mayari. It was awful. Staff is very unhelpful. This should not be a hotel or priced like a hotel. Adding my Booking review for more details

I left an object in the room and in the only one call they finally answered, I gave exact instructions where I left it. They never called back. Very difficult to reach them. The phone number is not from front desk, its from a phone number in Mexico city.

Cortan el agua a partir de las 5 pm cuando quieres bañarte por que vienes del mar para bañarte o usar el baño no hay agua disponible sino hasta las 6 de la mañana, en la recepción se desaparecen por lo que no hay alguien a quien reclamarle y para agregar no hicieron la habitación por 2 días. Por si fuera poco las sábanas y las almohadas estab sucias cuando llegamos.
