Hotel Mawimbi

The Food, Drinks & Service are amazing at this amazing place… We came back two days in a row to the beds by the beach and our host Patricio was very good to us. We thoroughly recommend coming here to stay or even just for the day. We will certainly be visiting again.

peaceful stay at this pristine hotel on a beautiful beach with tremendous service. we thoroughly enjoyed all the meals and the scenery. could not recommend it more highly! be sure to add a beachfront massage! the balconies were spacious and key for the spattering of rain we had.

Best hotel experience we have ever had! It is a perfectly peaceful environment with incredible service from everybody, we can’t wait to return one day because this place is very special. From the moment we arrived we received the most warm welcome we could imagine over a welcome cocktail - greeted by Marcia who introduced us to the team who made the effort to get to know us by our first names straightaway. Every day we loved the infectious positive energy of Salvador and Moises, they are a lot of fun to be around, although all of the staff are excellent at their jobs and always smiling, they get to know the guests well, we are so grateful to them all! Being served breakfast, lunch and dinner on the white sandy beach is special - the beach front is well spaced out and it never feels overcrowded which was important to us. Lots of other hotels we noticed had packed in their sun loungers, but Mawimbi is fortunate to have such a big stretch of the beach, perfect for appreciating the amazing sunsets. At night the lighting is something quite magical, every table is great but I recommend booking to have dinner on the table directly in front of the fire pit. The food itself was super fresh and delicious - there’s always fresh juice combinations and usually an eggs option every morning. For lunch we loved the shrimp tacos and seared tuna, all fantastic quality. The drinks are also fantastic. We spent New Years Eve at the hotel and loved the attention to detail put into the event. The hotel built a big 2025 sign and it felt like the place to be! The design of the hotel feels at one with nature and this helps you appreciate the stunning beauty of your surroundings. The hotel was rebuilt to a high standard following the fire, Ornella has created a perfect environment with thoughtful and tasteful decorated rooms. The location is ideal, close to the heart of town and on the best part of the beach. Throughout our stay of 11 nights, we were sure we were staying at the best hotel on Holbox island and so pleased with our decision. A special thank you to Marcia and Gabriel - they are the best! We will never forget our magical experience at Mawimbi.

This was the best hotel of our trip, the staff were delightful, they went above and beyond whilst being very discreet. The room was gorgeous and perfectly equipped, and the beach club area is the best on the island. The restaurant was in the most perfect setting on the beach and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. This is the most luxurious and best priced hotel in the area and I would recommend it to anyone!

Hotel Mawimbi was the most gorgeous hotel I’ve ever stayed at! I came for three days recently with a friend, and we had the most perfect stay - I wish we could have been here forever. The staff really made our experience - they were absolutely delightful and really did make you feel like you were home away from home. Everything from breakfast to cocktails to dinner was delicious, and the beach area was the most beautiful place to relax all day. I honestly could not fault our experience at all. Thank you so much for everything!! We will be back!

Great hotel at the beach with superb service, quiet en very comfortable rooms. When you stay here, you have personal service from all staff in the hotel and bar. You can enjoy the great beach seats, the bar and the restaurant. The staff is very friendly en small details in the rooms make this this perfect stay: well isolated sheets on the beds, great airco, great bathroom. I cannot think of a better place on the Island.
