Hoi An Pho Library Hotel

Good location and quiet surroundings. Breakfast is average. Room was spacious and had a balcony. Overall the hotel needs a bit of TLC: Scratched wooden floors, stained carpet in the hallway, Roof top pool furniture needs a fresh coat of paint. Bathroom needs to be cleaned up. We were turned off upon our arrival. 30 minutes of pressure cooker selling on tours, dress makers, and activities. No free bottles of water (only homemade provided). .

Hoi An Pho Library staff are very enthusiastic and friendly. The hotel is very cute, in the style of the old town. The room is small (because it is in the city, you have to accept it) but cozy, clean and tidy. The swimming pool on the 4th floor is also very chill. My baby Bap loves it. The location is near the old town, easy to walk into town.

Perfect location. Minutes walk to the heart of the Old Quarter and 20 minute bike ride to the beach. Staff was outstanding and the beds were huge and comfortable. Just be warned that most of the room do not have windows. So either be OK with that or specify a room with window (we had a window and balcony).

What a nightmare 13 days prior to my stay I booked a room for 2 nights with window via Agoda. The room was called "Valcony room" which was confirmed. One day prior to our arrival I received a new confirmation per email and the room was now called "Superior Double or Twin Room (Without Window & view)". I purposely booked a room with window which was more expensive and now short before I get there, everything is changed. I contacted the hotel and Agoda and both told me that this is what I booked in the first place. Agoda's initial confirmation only stated "Valcony room" and on none of their confirmation documents, were any details regarding "Valcony room" to be found. At this time this room category was no longer on Agoda. Agoda's response was: do you have a screen shot of what the "Valcony room" offers, no I did not, I was not aware that something like this was necessary. I asked them to send me a screen shot of room category called Valcony room, but they did not do this. Arriving at the hotel the manager told me that the price I had booked the room for, only ever offers a room without window in his hotel, but I 100% took the more expensive room because I specifically wanted a window. The owner ended up upgrading me to the family room with window which usually costs double the price which I was paying. the night before arriving at the hotel I was up all night initially contacting the hotel and writing back and forth with Agoda customer service... I don't know anyone who would like this mess during their vacation. Yes the hotel and room was clean. The breakfast was not more than mediocre and although they are called Pho hotel and had a sign for soup they did not offer any. Also when asking if we could get breakfast before 7 am they did not propose anything at all, it was not possible. I will avoid using Agoda in the future and will never revisit this hotel.

Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time. Our boys loved the pancakes in the morning and the rooftop pool! The hotel staff was extremely helpful and thoughtful. The hotel is super conveniently located within short walking distance to the old town.

I booked Hoi An Pho Library Hotel through ***********. I liked that it had a pool, and it’s walking distance to the old town/ area of intrigue in Hoi An. The air con is fabulous. The bed was lusciously spacious. Breakfast was custom made eggs/ pancakes/ noodle soup. It is a no frills set up, but don’t let that dissuade you. The street is quiet, the staff super attentive, even before arriving in Vietnam, they reached out to ask if I needed a car from Danang airport. The laundry & car transfer are very cheap compared to other hotels/ adverts seen. If you need a place to shower & sleep, then Hoi an Pho Library Hotel is for you.
