Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge

Our family spent 5 days at the lodge. Everything vas perfect, good food, the bread was amazing and were nice staff that took good care of us. Specially thanks to our ranger James who fulfilled all our dreams in the park and found all the animals we wanted to see. We highly recommend this place.

Mohlabetsi is such a special place! We spent 3 days here and everyone was so friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were super clean and comfy, and the food is AMAZING!!!!! We couldn't have wanted anything more! James was a fab safari guide and we'll definitely be back!!

This was the first safari stop on a small group of friends that I escorted around the Kruger Park in September 2024. Just a short drive from Hoedspruit (under an hour) we were greeted with a welcome drink then checked in by the lovely manageress and shown to our rooms. The rooms are rondavels with outside showers, delightfully African and very comfortable. They are quite rustic but have everything you need. There is a swimming pool, where towels are provided and it's also quire large by safari lodge standards. It was also pleasantly warm and we were kept well-stocked with drinks by the lovely barman. The food is excellent, served buy wonderful, cheerful staff. We had two birthdays on the 8th of September and all the staff came out to sing to us - there was not a dry eye in the house! As we were a party of 11 we split into two jeeps - our ranger was Lucky and the other group had Hamilton and they were both fantastic. The Kruger was as dry as a tinderbox but the game was plentiful - we saw all the Big 5 in one day and the only other place where I have seen more elephants was on the Chobe River in Botswana. Not too many leopards and we were luck enough to have an excellent tracker in James, who directed us off road through fairly thick bush to bring us out on a ridge directly above where the leopard was laid up under a bush. We were here for three nights and I would say it was probable the best game experience of the 12 night trip. OK, so some of the accommodation was more luxurious but we went for the game viewing and I would definitely go back to Mohlabetsi.

My parents, sister and I had a wonderful time here! The lodge itself is beautiful, very low key and intimate. The staff were super polite and helpful! The chef made fantastic delicious food for every meal. The managers (Nina and Jaques) were delightful and pleasant. Special shoutout to James and Octavio our game rangers who were superb and helped us see all the Big 5.

We booked the Bush Lodge as for a 50th birthday celebration to complement another property we were staying n in the reserve. Jo who handled our enquiry and booking was a real star and made sure that everything was taken care of and provided a lot of additional information for our stay. The lodge itself is superb and has everything one would require. The game drives were a real treat and enjoyed by our guests. We would highly recommend the lodge and certainly would look at staying there again.

This is one of the best camps we have been to, and we have been to dozens of luxury camps in Masai Mara, Serengeti, Chobe, Kruger, and Okavango delta. The team here is FANTASTIC! Nina and Jacques run an amazing operation, where everyone traves an extra mile to make you feel welcome and well looked after. The camp has exceptional game drives and serves great food.
