Jabulani Safari

While my wife booked the trip with a luxury travel agent I thought I was just getting into an elephant experience. Little did I know our trip was way more than that. We went on game drives twice a day and saw all the big five up close. We got to learn how to track an animal. How to read their signs when they are stressed or happy to just have us sit there and enjoy their pressence (in the vehicle of course). The elephant experience was also top notch and one were you were able to interact but not invade the animals space in a way that didn't feel right. One of the elephants wanted us to feed it while the other wasn't in the mood so they recognized that and we just observed as we should. A highlight was definately feeding the elephant right it it's mouth which they were more than accepting.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warm embrace of a place that is so much more than just a safari lodge - it is a masterpiece of hospitality, conservation, and heartfelt service. Every detail, from the breathtaking grounds to the impeccable personal touches, reflected a level of care and dedication that is truly extraordinary. The staff, guides, butlers, and chefs - each and every one of them - went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine passion for what they do turned our visit into an experience we will cherish forever. The food was nothing short of spectacular, a perfect balance of gourmet elegance and comforting indulgence, prepared with love and precision. Both chefs took exeption care of our food restrictions. The game drives were mesmerizing, each one unveiling the raw and untamed beauty of Africa in a way that words can hardly describe. But what moved us most was the lodge’s deep commitment to conservation, particularly their incredible work with elephants. Their dedication to protecting these magnificent creatures, supporting their future, and uplifting the surrounding community left an imprint on our hearts. When it came time to leave, we found ourselves embracing every staff member, overwhelmed with gratitude for the memories we had made. This was more than just a trip- it was a life-changing journey, and we cannot wait to return. Thank you to the whole team for making this dream trip a reality. This was my 6 of 7 continents trip and South Africa did not disappoint. Kyle, our guide, was exceptional and ensured we got to see the Big 5. His passion is contagious and his knowledge gives you context to what’s happening throughout the game drives. Henlu and the dining team met every request with excitement. He truly works to meet your expectation. Every bite from the game drive snacks to dinner in the Boma were sensational. Do not miss the opportunity to try springbok, wildebeest or kudu! Our butler Isaac as well as Shadrick were always available to meet any need. Their smiles and genuine caring attention made our time at the lodge 5 star. Our thanks as well to all the unseen staff that cleaned our room, washed our clothes and did everything to maintain Jabulani. The environment is constantly in need of maintenance and the team keeps it top notch, so much so that the young bull elephant wandering the dry river bed would love to book a suite!

Best place to go to a safari! My wife and I spent our honeymoon there and it was absolutely perfect! Staff was incredibly thoughtful, did multiple romantic surprises for us and were super helpful throughout our stay. The private park has A LOT of animals to see, including of course the Big 5, and our guide Matthew knew exactly where to find each animal we wanted to see. The hotel itself is also very luxurious, including a private chef (ours was Alex, amazing food!!) and a butler (thanks Shadi, the kindest person ever!).

After staying at Jabulani last year, I was eager to visit again shortly after, this time as a solo traveler. My experience was nothing short of perfect. This continues to be a magical place with incredible animal sightings, delicious food, and all around great staff. The curated experience makes you feel like you're the only guest staying there. I'm once again looking at dates to travel back to Jabulani for a third time!

What a magical place this is. Our guide Juan was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We saw The Big Five and then some on every drive. The food was amazing as were the chefs. Our travel agent was Allan Sneag from All Star Travel Group in Beverly Hills. The accommodations are beautiful. We didn’t have a single issue during our stay. I hope we can make it back one day.
