African Flair Boutique Safari Lodge

Alet is the kindest and most hardworking host, we have had the pleasure of staying with in a long time. The boutique is private and only one set of guests at a time. Beautiful pool area and lovely decor. Great drinks and wine selection available. Bedding is so comfy and lovely fluffy towels. Outdoor shower was just wonderful. Alet pays attention to detail and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks to Patience too, her hardworking assistant.

We had an unforgettable stay at African Flair Lodge! The exclusivity of accommodating only one couple at a time made our stay truly special. The breakfast was Michelin-star quality, with expertly prepared and presented dishes. The hostess was a breath of fresh air, providing warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. If you're looking for a romantic getaway with seclusion, gourmet cuisine, and exceptional service, African Flair Lodge is the perfect choice.

and I mean that in the most positive way. Alet, the hostess, is a perfectionist of the highest order with exquisite taste and a tremendous know how of what affluent guests want and expect. One example: your Coffee arrangement (yes, even something as mundane as coffee is served as an arrangement) will never look the same from coffee to coffee. I always find something to complain about, but here, I couldn't. It's just perfection. Full stop.

The owner’s hospitality and friendliness go above and beyond, making you feel truly welcome and at home. Everything, from the decor to the amenities, is done with excellent taste and outstanding quality. If you’re looking for a place that combines warmth, elegance, and exceptional service, this is it. Having visited South Africa many times before, on this trip we chose to spend 3 nights at African Flair on our arrival from the UK before transferring to Sabi Sands fo 4 nights and can definitely recommend it to others. Conveniently situated in Hoedspruit, African Flair is a very special, exclusive boutique lodge set in beautiful surroundings where lifetime memories have been made. Following a very warm welcome from Alet, who I felt I knew before arriving due to her responsiveness to the many queries I had from booking 6 months previously, it was evident that she was committed to ensuring we had the best experience possible. Even after we had checked out Alet accompanied us to the local airstrip and waited with us to ensure our transfer arrived and we departed safely. Our suite was just gorgeous and the good weather allowed us to sleep in the stargazer bed which was wonderful. Excellent breakfasts were provided and a wide selection of quality wines available. We also had a great meal from a local restaurant brought to the lodge with our table set with candles and flowers by the pool which was lovely. If you are reading this, I guess you are looking at the many different options in the area, so yes - read all the reviews, look at all the pictures but these can't capture the African Flair experience (they have won awards for a reason)! We would return in a heartbeat.

Such a private and exclusive place. We had a wonderful time and Alet was very amazing. We will definitely visit again
