Saigonciti Hotel

My stay at Saigonciti Hotel was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even carried my luggage up upon my arrival and down when I checked out. The room was adequate and the location was good. The bottom part of the shower curtain was a bit gross, though.. those should be cleaned or replaced.

The location is very nice. Only 1-2 min walk to Bùi Viện street. Customer friendly staff was also nice. Regrettable was that the air con was very dirty. It was very moldy smell. I opened the cover and washed every parts which I could remove. I strongly request that this be improved. In that state, it is affecting customer’s health.

Location: Very conveniently located - right across from Central Market which is worth checking out. As a tourist, Grab was very cheap and convenient to get to and from the airport. Plenty of good restaurants and services located nearby. Room: A little small but more than suitable for our needs. Good air conditioning, not too much noise spill from the busy Saigon streets overall, nice sized walk-in shower (fine temperature control once you work it out), mildly hard bed but expectable for Vietnam. Food: We only ended up taking up the free breakfast one morning but it was quite a reasonable little oriental buffet to pick from. Staff: Helpful (were coming down the entrance stairs outside to carry my partner's luggage before we even noticed them, always opening the entrance door when available). However housekeeping did walk in on us once when we had put the do not disturb sign up which felt a bit awkward privacy-wise. The hotel was understanding when we'd had food poisoning and had unfortunately stained some of the towels so we left them a little goodie bag with chocolates and snacks we weren't quite going to fit back in our luggage as thanks 🙂 Overall quite decent for the price and would recommend as a good value option (we stayed for eight nights).
