Emdoneni Lodge with Zululand Cat Conservation Project

We went back to Emdoneni for our 5th time, the 1st since Covid. They managed to retain most of the original staff and we were pleased to see so many people we remembered, and who remembered us. The cat project was educational and entertaining and it was good to be so close to the cats being looked after so well. The accommodation was perfect as usual and the food was excellent. We took the 3 night package so we got to do the hippo cruise, elephant interaction and game drive in Hluhluwe Imfolozi game reserve, as well as the cat tour. We will be back.

Fantastic room and lovely staff were highlights. Game drive was excellent and food was good. Cheetah project was a bit shabby but great to see the cats up close and the guides were knowledgeable. Boat trip nice extra if you book the 2 night package deal.

We visited in late November and enjoyed excellent hospitality from all the staff. The grounds are lovely and include several short trails where you can see several species of wildlife (Zebra, Antelope and Tortoise) in our case. The accommodation is great too and includes a nice restaurant and pool area. The highlight other than the optional Cat tour was the staff singing for the guests during dining. Beautiful.

Our stay at Emdenoni Lodge was so peaceful and pleasant...The lodge is safe, quiet, relaxing and ressourcing. The food is delicious and there is a real effort, each evening, to make balanced meals with different ingredients, tastes and colours. The staff is kind and caring. The owners are so friendly and caring! I loved waking up to two zebras eating peacefully in front of our cottage, and walk around the property safely!

We stayed in the self catering unit, that had all the creature comforts! Perfect for a small family and perfect to socialize. The location was safe and a few meters away from their Cat Project where you get to see incredible animals like cheetahs. The staff were great and the facilities was top notch ( pool, restaurant, games, hikes). It's my 2nd visit and I'll be back.
