I would never return to The Skyline Lodge and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The front desk gentleman that was working there on 8/4 at approximately 4pm was rude, disrespectful, arrogant and unprofessional. I have never experienced such horrible customer service at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I have never written a TripAdvisor review but am taking the time to write this one because I want this hotel to know how this employee is treating their guests. Upon arrival, I noticed there was no refrigerator in my hotel room. I had called a day prior requesting a refrigerator and was told by the reservation department that yes there is a refrigerator in the room. When there was no refrigerator in my room I went to the front desk and explained the situation to the gentleman that I was told I would have a refrigerator. Immediately he had an attitude and said well, we don’t have a refrigerator and they are given out the day you get here by calling the front desk. I explained to him that I tried to call the reception desk and when I did, I got no answer on multiple phone call attempts. He said well the phone never rang at the front desk, basically calling me a liar. So I showed him the proof on my phone the amount of times that I called there and nobody picked up. And he said that I probably didn’t have cell reception and that’s why the call didn’t go through. If I didn’t have cell service then I wouldn’t have been able to get through and choose the reception desk as an option. He said well we’ve been here the whole time and I said well if you were here then I guess you didn’t answer the phone because I called and there was no answer on multiple occasions and that’s why I called reservations and they assured me I would have a refrigerator. He told me that reservations has nothing to do with booking a refrigerator that they’re not located at the hotel, they are in Oregon or some other state. Like I was supposed to know this. Perhaps you need to tell your reservation department that every room does not have a refrigerator and that you need to call the hotel directly to get a refrigerator. I understand that this gentleman wouldn’t have been able to make a refrigerator magically appear when there were none to be had. Of course I was disappointed about not having a refrigerator because I had deli meat, cheese and mayo to make sandwiches for hiking trips that I had to throw in the garbage because I didn’t have a refrigerator. That part was over and done with there was nothing I could do about that but the bad impression that I have of this hotel due to that gentleman’s attitude and customer service is horrible! My husband overheard my conversation with this gentleman and he was appalled at his demeanor and attitude as well and said we’re not staying here.
