Malvern House

This place is just dreadful. When entering the property you get greeted by a dreadful stale smell. Our room was at the top of the Stairs on the first floor. It was quite spacious but everything was very dated and quite grubby. Hardly any toilet paper, we had to ask for this each day. The room wasn’t serviced at all. When we arrived there was only one mug for coffee, I asked for another. This took ages to get and when it did come it was dirty, it hadn’t been washed. It’s a dreadful place which should either be run professionally or just close it down because the owners haven’t a clue about hospitality. The best thing about it was leaving after 2 nights.

I have never stayed in such a dirty and unkept guest house if I could of found another place to stay I would have,This place needs a really good deep clean and could do with new management before it is completely run into the ground and out of business!

Travelled with friends and arrived about 4pm, they booked our friends in the twin room our room not ready, we waited in friends room after 20 mins we were told toilet was blocked can't get a plumber so can't use roo. and no spare room, our friends said we could use there bathroom as no time to look for other accommodation as we had a taxi booked for 6.30pm to take us to our event. We insisted they should supply us with the room with no where for us to go, she agreed and we waited again for her to prepare the room. After another 15 mins we were allowed in our room. The bed was clean and that the only thing that was, the room was filthy, carpet had bits all over it, cobwebs, dirty mirrors, headboard missing batteries in TV remote, we new toilet out of action but sink and shower not cleaned at all. Had to ask for toilet paper for friends bathroom and for cups so we could make. A drink in morning, was handed two wet mugs she had just washed. Bed was very uncomfortable, lumpy and you could feel the springs. A dreadful place.
