The Barn at Mead Farm is a truly special place on the doorstep of the Pennine Way. The original barn has been divided into two holiday barns, the smaller being The Acorn which sleeps two and the larger being The Oaks which will sleep five, all with ensuite bedrooms.Light and airy with a contemporary feel, The Barn is an ideal place to relax after a long day exploring the area whether walking, cycling or sightseeing and taking in the many local attractions. Castleton is the busiest village in the area with plenty of places of interest to visit - The Blue John Mine, Speedwell Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern, Peveril Castle to name just a few. The Cheese has all the warmth of a traditional English pub with a friendly welcome good food and drink and a great atmosphere. It has a regular folk music night on the first Thursdays of the month which is a real local institution and great fun.The Acorn is a one bedroom barn comprising a featuring a king-sized bed, ensuite shower room, open plan living room and kitchen. It has a fitted kitchen with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and cafetiere.
