South Mimms/Potters Bar

This Premier Inn is located bordering London and also very close to a motorway, without any of the noise and commotion. That is a service station very close by providing access to a lot of shops and food varieties. The breakfast at the Premier Inn was really good and the best thing was that the food was always readily available unlike some other establishments and even other Premier Inns. The staff are efficient and so check-in and checkout was painless. There is adequate parking, though chargeable and the building those slightly dated, inside, is maintained well and the rooms are spacious and clean.

Arrived at 10pm, car park around the back had plenty of space but it was very poorly lit and felt unsavoury. Short walk to reception. Parking had to be paid for on arrival. Grubbiest premier inn I’ve stayed in. Very tired, bathrooms were mouldy, smelled of urine and damp. Doors and skirting board peeling from what looked like an age old flood. Has air con but you cannot adjust cooler than 19 degrees even if you want to. Bed was clean and comfortable. Didn’t have breakfast but on the way back to the car in the morning a huge cockroach crossed our path. Close to a petrol station with a mini m and s, a Taco Bell and pizza express in the services next door along with Starbucks and Waitrose.

Very happy with the overall service of the hotel staff. The hotel was well looked after, with clean rooms and great bar/restaurant. Lots of spaces to park.

Had two rooms booked. Reception were great in sorting out early check in as we had somewhere to be. Rooms are Premier Inn rooms as you expect so clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was also really good even though the dining room was busy.
