Ida Village

Excellent friendly staff ,great location 30mins from the beach and the town. The town has lots of lovely restaurants and shops. The whole complex is very clean throughout, its on a bit of a hill. The apartment have lots of step if you having mobility problems its not ideal but i would definitely stay again.

The hotel staff member Chrysanthi was super friendly when we arrived. The best welcome and first impression of the hotel, Chrysanthi was practical and helpful and was only concerned that you were happy. Despina was friendly too in fact all the hotel staff and Cretan people we met were. Wonderful stay in a superior 1 bed maisonette. Really fresh modern interior as shown on websites. The kitchen steps down from the lounge with kettle fridge combi microwave and 2 ring hob etc. and a table for 4 people. The lounge has built in seating with a tv that shows the usual range. It has a beautiful patio off the lounge with outdoor seating. The bedroom had a balcony off it with space to seat two and the beds and pillows were very comfy. The hotel grounds/gardens are really looked after and stepped or ramped around the hotel to different rooms. Family members were given rooms across the path which we didn’t request but was a nice touch. The bar area near reception was lovely, we didn’t eat there but our parents did have a cooked breakfast which they said was good. The food we saw others having like pizza etc looked nice and prices were reasonable and clearly shown and choice was good. You could have a very relaxed short stay here as the hotel and apt/maisonettes have everything you would need. The wi-fi is very good and air conditioning is up and down stairs in your accommodation. There are good amenities like shops and bar nearby and all the food we had in town was lovely. We caught the bus to Malia old town at the end of the road for 2euro and it’s worth a visit. We would return to this hotel anytime and its location to town or a beach is a short 10/15 min walk down the hill with shops a plenty. Some touristy some local.

A wonderful place to stay. Very friendly are the people who run the business and those who work there. 3 of us stayed 1-8 Oct 24. 1 of our party is elderly and needed easy access accommodation and they sorted it very quickly for us. The bar and pool areas are great for a relaxed drink or 2. Great restaurants very close by. Supermarket 5 mins away too. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

what a fantastic place! the staff can’t do enough for you and the rooms are amazing. Great pool area for lazing about in the days and the location is ideal for getting into resort or out and about. We will definitely be returning for the famous Greek hospitality

We spent 10 days at Ida Village in September and loved it so much that we have already booked our next holiday at the same village in September 2025. We are going for 2 weeks next year as we really enjoyed staying at this beautiful complex. The room was superb and extremely clean with a well equipped kitchen if you wish to cook at home; there was a comfy double bed in the bedroom with two additional single beds in the living room (we stayed at the top of the complex in a Superior One bedroom apartment). There is always someone available at the reception. A huge thank you to Despina for helping us with all our requests. There is a wonderful sandy beach (Meltemi) about 10 mins walk down the hill, turn right (20 euros for two sunbeds and umbrella). And you can also book a massage with lovely Stella at the Spa – highly recommend as she is fantastic.

Just spent 2 weeks at Ida Village with our family. Lovely rooms with comfy beds. Our room 112 looked onto the bottom pool. (There’s another 2 pools further up the complex). Only negative was the room was lacking storage which was ok for 2 people but not a lot of space to put clothes for a family of 4. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need including washing up liquid, scourer & dish cloth on arrival which was a nice touch. Towels were changed every 2 days & sheets several times during our stay. The pretty gardens were kept nice & tidy. Staff were very friendly. Only played tennis once as it was too hot, but they also have table tennis & a pool table. There is a Spar shop & a nice restaurant just down the hill & a 20 minute walk up the hill takes you to the beautiful villages of Koutouloufari & Pano Hersonisis where there are a good selection of bars & restaurants. The old buildings up in the village are well worth seeing. We hired a car from reception for €70 a day & visited Rethymno & Kourtaliotiko Gorge. We also did a trip which we booked at the bottom of the hill to the waterpark. It was a great day out €37 pp including transfers. We used the local bus to go into Malia. It cost €2 pp & another day got it to Heraklion which cost €3.50pp. If you cross the VERY busy road at the bottom of the hill & turn right there is a small traditional Greek museum called Lychnostatis, which is worth a visit & only €8 pp. There is also crazy golf & go carts over the road from the apartments. Continue walking left from the bottom of the hill & a 20 minute walk will take you to Hersonisis harbour where it is a busier area with shops, bars & restaurants that look onto the sea. Would highly recommend these apartments.
