Villaggio Boutique Hotel Hersonissos - Adults Only

One week Half-Board stay, food pleasant, drinks somewhat lacking (don't ask the bartender to show you his own creations). Old town is very close by and has a good selection of restaurants and basic amenities. Pool ice cold (maybe good or bad) Shower leaked all over floor but otherwise room great and cleaned daily to a high standard. Staff all charming and happy to help

Recently stayed there with my sister. Enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The manager Maria was very accomodating. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Old Hersonissos where there were same amazing tavernas. The dinner buffet was varied and tasty. We enjoyed the Greek dishes included in the menu.

This hotel is relatively new and the facilities are up to date, with good beds and modern bathrooms, good water pressure and warm water 24/7. Most of the rooms only have the one entrance, which means that you enter by the terrace where other people walk by, and have no privacy unless you keep the curtains drawn --＞ getting no light in the room. The front office manager is helpful, but the hotel is overbooked, people are shuffeled around between rooms during the stay, and there is no backup room in case of emergencies (in peak season). There is also a major lack of staff, to keep the hotel (july 2023). During our stay cleaning only happened when going to the reception and specifically asking for it. Another guest had no follow up, when broken glass was reported in a personal pool. The hotel IS NOT in walking distance to the beach. Most guests paid 10-12 Euro for a taxi to and from the beach, and no bus service towards Heraklion. Outside the peak season, the hotel will work well. Just make sure you book a room with a balcony (not terrace) or personal pool. That way you get a traditional hotel room with an enterance and a door to your balcony. The little village a few hundre meters from the hotel, is lovely with good restaurants and friendly shop ovners.

We had one week holiday in Hersonissos where we stayed at Villagio. My expectations were excedeed. We wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday, away from work, noise and so on, and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is nice and modern, and the staff is amazing. The room was big and comfortable, and everything was working perfectly. We had breakfast included. There were plenty of choices, from fruits and vegetables to different kinds of bread, eggs, cereals, pastry products and different kinds of coffee and juices. It is true that the hotel is not next to the beach, but that wasn’t an inconvenience for us, because it was really easy to get a taxi for 10 euros. We were happy not to stay at a hotel near the beach, close to the crowded areas. A nice part of our holiday was the old center of Hersonissos that offers different places to eat, shops and a relaxing walk between the small houses. It was the perfect holiday, and it was a bit hard to come back to the everyday life after such a relaxing week. Many many thanks to Maria, Marina and Georgia. They have made our stay so pleasant where you definetly feel spoiled.

The service was top class, cannot fault any of the staff for how they treated us (particularly the women at the pool bar and the reception staff). We got the standard room as the private pool rooms were sold out however we did not feel at a disadvantage at all. Our room was amazing, so spacious, beautifully decorated and airy. There was also a pool upstairs with more than enough sun beds and space. The only improvement point would be regarding our dinners - the selection wasn’t very expansive and we also had to pay for water which was free at breakfast.Other than this small issue, it would definitely be 5/5! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Just got back from a week at the villaggio hotel, we had such a relaxing time here. We had a room with a private pool, the bed was so comfty, the room was spacious, the private pool was a delight. The staff were very friendly, the food and general atmosphere of this hotel was very good. The location was ideal for us as it was quiet and just a few minutes walk away was a selection of taverns. Would definitely recommend staying here we loved it!
