Astra Village & Suites

We visited Astra Village this month and were so impressed with this accommodation. Firstly we visited with our 18 month old son and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We arrived to a spacious travel cot set up in our room with a toddler pillow, and were provided with a high chair at breakfast and one for our room too. The ladies at breakfast and at the bar made the effort to engage him and to bring him his own special bowl. Our room was spotless (Junior Suite) and was kept lovely and tidy throughout the week by the hard working cleaner. The whole resort is immaculate with all areas cleaned daily. Astra Village is located right in the heart of the main street. This is extremely handy and you are surrounded by at least ten fantastic restaurants. It has a lovely family feel and despite being on the main road it is nice and quiet in the rooms. Breakfast at the resort is nice with a selection of more “British” and “continental” breakfast items, and the area is kept cool and very clean. The pool bar is reasonably priced and food served throughout the day is good. We were able to pay to change into a different room on our check-out day so that we were not outside all day until our flight. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Astra Village and (despite all the stairs!) would recommend this to other young families.

4th time to this wonderful village but 2nd time saying at Astra, the hotel is small but very well run, staff very friendly, good selection at breakfast, due to the extreme heat the air con was fantastic, the grounds/rooms are absolutely spotless, we had room 93 this time and it was fantastic, very spacious with a big double aspect balcony, Petrit and Babis in the main bar are fantastic, had such a laugh with them, see you next year x

Stayed there with my friend who had been before. The rooms was lovely and modern. The pool area was great, no rush for sunbeds. The staff were extremely friendly. The lady on reception was so helpful too. Went to the bar every evening and was made to feel very welcome by the bar chaps. Chatted and had a laugh. Would certainly come again

We didn't stay at the suites but we went in the bar every evening for a cocktail and a late nightcap. Petrit and Babis were friendly, great fun and kept everybody well supplied with drinks and little snacks. When we return to Koutouloufari, we will definitely be returning to Astra Bar where I will be trying out all the cocktails and enjoying our time round the bar with the guys and new friends.

We have bin a lot of times at Crete, and this was our first time at Astra Village. We stayed at a junior Suite. It was a perfect en big room and very clean with seeview. Every morning we had breakfast with fresh food. The staff was always kind and trying to help. A drink at the bar in the evening is recommended. The bartenders are hospitable and do their best to ensure guests have a pleasant evening. We will definitely come back to Astra Village again!

We are now @Astra Village and we love it! The rooms are super Modern and Clean the pools and bar are great and the staff is super friendly…. A lot of hotels can learn from this hotel / apartment building! The price is really great! It would deserve a higher ranking! 4*+ for us!
