King Minos Retreat Resort & Spa

Amazing stay, the service from the staff are all amazing and the place is absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend, the location is also perfect. Massive call out to Romina, Erol & Manolis. Honestly all the bar and reception staff.

We stayed at King Minos in May 2025 as a couple, celebrating a birthday, and spent five nights in a double room with a sea view and private pool. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even offering a complimentary drink on arrival. Check-in was smooth and quick, and the reception team were genuinely lovely and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was in a great location—close to the main breakfast and pool area—which made everything very convenient. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with high-end amenities that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. There were, however, a few drawbacks. Our terrace, although private and peaceful, didn’t receive much sunlight during the day, and a large tree at the end of the terrace partially blocked the otherwise beautiful sea view. This also meant that the private pool, which was unheated, remained freezing cold and virtually unusable during our stay. We had booked half board, but both breakfast and dinner were quite average, so we ended up dining out most evenings to explore more appealing options. A thoughtful touch was a complimentary birthday cake, which we really appreciated—though it was disappointing that housekeeping removed it while servicing the room before we had the chance to fully enjoy it. Overall, our stay at King Minos was lovely, and the staff’s hospitality really stood out. We would consider returning in the future, but would likely choose a different room to make better use of the private pool and enjoy more sunshine on the terrace.

The hotel is 5*, staff are amazing, attentive and helpful. Hotel rooms are elegant & spacious & tidied daily. Daniele is one of nicest waitresses and all staff including the maitre d are friendly and full of smiles. Had a fantastic massage with Dina, best I’ve had in a very long time. Only complaint was the weather as we had 3 miserable days of rain and hadn’t prepared for cold weather.
