Highly recommend! We had the best experience. Our room had a private patio and was quite spacious and attractive. Spotless, clean and cozy with delightful decor and lots of pillows and comforters. Delicious, homemade breakfast each morning. Our hosts, Annamarie and Dave, were so welcoming, warm and caring. They were so helpful and knowledgeable. Dave connected us with (and booked for us) excellent guides for wine tasting, birding, walking, whale watching, and shark viewing. Annamarie recommended a range of delicious restaurants and Dave booked window seats for us with beautiful views of Walker Bay. We will certainly choose The Potting Shed for our next visit to Hermanus!

Very nice accomodation, owners are very kind. Rooms are clean en nice. Breakfast is delicious, home made bread, pancakes, muffins, jam, granola. Excellent!! We saw Wales on the first day! We were here in the South African winter. But the tempeture is really pleasent.

We had a great time with great hosts. The breakfast is really good with delicous pancakes and self baked coockies every morning. I would defintely recommend this lovely guesthouse. Location is perfect, within walking distance from the harbour.

As part of a round trip, we stayed at The Potting Shed for just one night. If we only had known in advance how lovely it is... The reception was warm and kind, the room was great, the breakfast fabulous, with home made pancakes and lemoncurd, and we loved the art work that was all over the place. It is a pity that we had to move on so quickly. You are well advised to check it out!

What can I say? INCREDIBLE, WONDERFUL, AMAZING!!! Our time spent at The Potting Shed has come to an end far too soon. The staff are wonderful, helpful and insightful; the room (the studio) is beautiful, homey, and cozy; the breakfast is absolutely delicious and a treat; the owners are down-to-earth and friendly; and the list can go on and on. If you’re looking for a beautiful, inexpensive B&B, look no further! We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Hermanus.

Lovely B&B which offered a hearty breakfast after our early morning whale watching tour. Annamarie also gave us great recommendations for dinner and had us set up with everything we needed. Place was absolutely clean and the bed extremely comfy. Definitely the place to stay when you're in Hermanus!

We have had a fantastic stay at the Potting Shed. The hosts are brilliant and so welcoming. A cold ice tea on arrival and selecting breakfast the day before just makes everything so much more welcoming! The room was spotless and one of the most comfortable beds ever! Conveniently located for everything in Hermanus.
