The general manager, Justin Combs, encouraged me to give this rating. My sister and I stayed at the Hampton in Hazard for several days during October and early November. The hotel was close to the hospital, and we hoped, because it was a Hilton, it would be nice. My sister, had booked several nights. During the last week, she was made to move her room 3 times-one time, in particular, to the exact same type of room. We just scratched our head. Each time, she checked out at 11, took her bag to her car in the parking lot, and rechecked in by 3PM. We didn't say anything at the time and despite these kind of mistakes (which would have never happened nor have they at any other Hilton I have been in or decent hotel for that matter) everyone had been very nice, decent breakfast, yes- the clocks were all wrong in every single of the many rooms we stayed in because we were constantly moved, the pillows were flat as pancakes, the towels scratchy and not sufficient, and the shampoo and soap bottles always empty, but no one had been rude. ( And if no one had been rude, I would have kept all of these true facts to myself. )So before I left, I went up to the front desk to be nice and let them know about the rooms-not wanting anything and assuming they had committed some unaware clueless and honest mistakes. The young woman was nice enough and got the very young "general manager." I approached him calmly and he continued to escalate things and be combative, explaining how it is completely normal to play musical rooms like that while in a hotel. It was honestly something I have never witnessed. We only wanted a, "I am so sorry; I didn't realize." He told me his name was "Justin Combs" and encouraged me to leave him a poor review. So until more training occurs, I would go to the Holiday Express down the street.
