I stayed here with my family whilst visiting Malta for a wedding. The place is an absolute gem. Beautiful clean pool area which was so tranquil. The staff were incredibly helpful and the breakfast was delicious and fresh. The rooms were spacious and had all amenities we needed.

If you are looking for a local and boutique experience at a moderate price, look no further. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lemon Tree. The host is warm and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh - made to order with a few different options. Nice to avoid the food waste of a buffet. The room was comfortable with high-quality linens, an excellent air conditioner, and spa-like shower. The hotel is located about a twenty minute drive to major sites and about an hour from the ferry terminal near Gonzo. If you’re renting a car and want to explore the entire island, this is a good location for you.

Highly recommend this hotel. It is a very cool historic building in a quiet town, 10-15 minutes’ drive to the Three Cities. A nice pool and lounge area, garden, and well-equipped rooms that have the traditional limestone and exposed beams. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is very good. It definitely has a boutique feel and is an excellent value for all the amenities.

I liked it very much. Good place to stay and feel "Malta life" as it is. Rooms are "peaceful", quiet, clean and with nice design. In atmosphere you can feel both history and also modern design. You can wonder every day with new small pieces of new views to the design. Workers (especially Claire and Paula) are very kind and always smiling. To the local village centre there is five minute walk. You can feel history around and see the movement of time. It is nice to see local life- shops, bars, businesses, parties etc. I suggest to go to local bars in the morning about eight to nine and see the local people starting their day. Also drink with them local coffe, toast or even cisk beer.... Very authentic experience. Also taxi connection is fast and cheap.

Pleasant little hotel
The Lemontree Relais is a pleasant little hotel. Its facilities are basic, although has a nice pool to sun yourself. I have no criticism of it, although it is a taxi ride away from anything you want to do.

Lemon Tree is in a quiet part of Malta, which is just what we wanted, but it's easy to get to Three Cities and then the water taxi into Valetta. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, polite and full of local information. The pool is not big but a nice place to cool down and the area with the lemon trees in the garden is a perfect place to sit and relax. The room was big, very clean and full of character but with modern twists. Love the honesty jar idea when we used the mini bar. It was perfect for what we wanted on this holiday.

We had very nice experience in the end of september. We booked all the rooms for our big family and it was the best option for everybody. Everyone had enough space but we could get together in lovely breakfast room, courtyard and around pool. Breakfast was tasty and we had chance to try also Maltese special breakfast. The location was perfect for us because the most important thing for us was to find a villa where a large family would feel comfortable and where it was possible to quickly get to Valletta and other important cities in Malta. We used Bolt and eCabs taxis for transportation. Very convenient, fast and affordable. Each room was special. Elegant, tasteful, yet historical. We will definitely come back, thanks to the kind hosts!

Lovely boutique hotel. Breakfast meals set you up for the day (pjazza and fruit and me). Relaxed, lovely ladies cooking and managing our registration and giving up info. They were great and deserve good things. Owners were lovely too. Malta was wonderful! 🙂
