Great location (10 minute or less walk to Hayes & Harlington rail station for Elizabeth Line to Paddington, Heathrow, or Reading). Very reasonable prices, especially if you bundle in the dinner and next-morning breakfast "meal deal." The food quality is excellent. HOWEVER, this Premier Inn is very obviously understaffed at present. One morning the "chef" didn't come to work so there was no hot breakfast. Excuse me, the hotel's hot breakfast relies on one cook? We learned that this was the second time within a week that there was no hot breakfast due to "chef" calling out. The self-service espresso/coffee machine in the restaurant was nonfunctional throughout our stay, although staff would make a coffee at the bar upon request. One day, there was no toilet paper in one of the toilet stalls in the restaurant's ladies', and throughout our stay there was no soap in the ladies' or gents. Obviously there is no staff person assigned to routinely clean the restrooms ("toilets") and replenish soap. We hope the cook had his own soap! Often there was only one server for the entire bar and dining room, both of which close by 9:30 p.m. As often as not, the front reception desk was unmanned, although there is a buzzer to call for assistance (if you can find it -- it's on the check-in kiosk furthest to the right). Emails to reception prior to our arrival went unanswered. All of the above issues are a failure of management to properly staff the hotel. The staff members are all very hardworking, professional, and friendly, especially Marius, who seems to work around the clock, serving us dinner one night and breakfast the next.
