Matsya Island Retreat

The place has such a beautiful, calm, and peaceful vibe — it truly feels like a home away from home. Surrounded by nature, the atmosphere is refreshing The room service and staff are extremely respectful, attentive, and dedicated to their work.Their hospitality truly made the experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a perfect vacation

We loved our stay at Matsya - particularly the decor and vibe which were very chilled and zen. Great pool area, eating area and chill areas by the upstairs rooms. The food was great although the menu is very long and they didn't have a lot of items (which should have been removed from the menu or noted on it). The location is good for being close to shops and port but it is close to the main road. Not as close to beach. The staff were friendly however English was quite poor and so difficult to communicate with them - would suggest some team training and working on English skills for international tourists. Overall would recommend!

Serene hotel surrounding lush green plantation.The management is friendly. For anyone who wishes to enjoy a country style interior which offers a beautiful palate of colours I would definitely suggest this place. The cafe and the pool also add great value to the property! Its my second trip to Havelock and this time, my family with two kids spent two nights in this wonderful place. I love architecture as well as nature and the place is designed to organically blend with the nearby greenery, the hills, the palm trees, the beautiful stream nearby. Its a wonderful sight from the rooftop as well as from your rooms. The room and the bathroom both are elegant, artful, well crafted and aesthetically pleasing. The owner Ali is a wonderful person and gives full attention for your wonderful stay. As for Matsya, its peaceful and quiet environment gives you that peaceful stay and the location suits you for travelling and cover all of the beaches- Radhanagar, Elephant and Kalapatthar beaches. The staff are very warm and the hotel manager ensures a pleasant stay including your pickup from the jetty, your travelling and sightseeing in Havelock and your departure. All in all, I would sum up that Matsya is also one of the wonderful place worth visiting in Havelock.

The room was really spacious and cute, with a marine life theme. Staff was super helpful and helped guide on various activities in Havelock Island. Quite accessible to both Radhanagar and Kala Patthar beach, and the Havelock jetty. Really enjoyed the stay.

Overall a much different experience from other resorts and hotels I have visited and very good one. Everything was top notch - the cleanliness, food, room amenities, and other things. The food at cafe 4 was delicious and of great variety. Definitely, a very memorable experience.
