Good access from the Metz main road and the bathroom was well appointed. My family and I were surprised to hear it’s hotel policy for guests to set up a difficult bed seatee as well as organise the sheets etc. Fortunately one of the reception team helped with the bed - they struggled. Not normal across Novotels across Europe in our experience as Platinum Accor members. In addition no coffee was provided or available on request - again policy not to provide as standard. Reading through the hotel reviews afterwards it seems management are not listening to their customers.

We were looking for a place to spend the night on our way to the South of France after having cancelled our booking with a hotel in Luxembourg. We arrived just in time because they close the gate to the hotel and parking lot at 22:00 in the evening. Fortunately the staf were also kind enough to allow us to order a quick dinner just 1 minute before their restaurant closed. The menu of the restaurant is fine (we took the hamburgers) and all the staff members were extremely friendly. The room was quite ok and we were happy our car was parked on their closed-off parking lot; we had our e-Bikes on the back of the car so we were a bit anxious... A few minutes after our arrival we realised we had been here several times in the past when we were travelling to the South of France with our kids many years (+/-20) ago. Apparently the location is perfect when travelling through.

Well that's a hotel I won't be recommending to anyone. Starting from the top - On entry, corridors and room smelled of mold, the toiled even worse. - Room was not cleaned properly, there was sticky gunk around the sink and black hair stuck all over the place - No coffee in the room, only some cheap herbal tea bags that tasted like the paper cups you get to make your brew in. - Nothing to stir your drink with, not even any sugar. - Wi-Fi not working in the room - The staff at the breakfast had audacity to tell me I cannot use cutlery that was set on the table because it is for lunch service (laid out at 9am ??) and I have to go to the front of restaurant to pick my own cutlery. Like a paying overnight guest is a lesser guest than the one that comes here for lunch or something?? - Poor breakfast offering, nothing semi healthy in sight, no vegetables of any kind, unless you count pickled gherkins. - When checking out, the clerk asked if everything was ok, when I answered "NO" she was not interested in any details, just buffed me with "OK perfect, thank you" I have been in better hostels than this "hotel"

Just for one night on way to Austria. Really big room comfy bed hot water We did not attempt to eat or drink as bar very small and restaurant closed. We arrived at 8pm. So we headed to the local Italian across the road which was lovely 30 euros a head. Receptionist when arrived was lovely and efficient considering we were a coach load

Stayed here on a Christmas Market trip with Shearings. This type of hotel is not suitable for groups for more than one night. They do not know how to cater for groups putting us in a separate conference room. The food was very small portions and no choice, not good enough at dinner although the breakfast was good. The rooms were fine and spacious but cold due to a centrally operated temperature controlled by the hotel. It was below freezing outside most of the week . You did not come back to a warm room. If they want this type of business going forward , maybe need to have a rethink.

Stayed here with shearings coach trio for the 3 Christmas markets. Arrived late so didn't expect much. Took ourself to our room to freshen up then headed down to the bar. The were 3 staff very unfriendly and very slow. Managed a drink like getting blood out of a stone. It didn't get any better. Breakfast wasn't all that Cereal continental bacon and sausage. No wet stuff like beans or tomatoes. Evening meal well . 3 pieces of meat on a skewer couldn't tell you what meat it was but it was tough and smelt awful. With that you got a small spoon of mash and 3 green beans. Next night was even better ( not ) We had a small plain omelette for our main meal. When a guest asked if they could have cheese they were rudely told NO. The hotel is dated unfriendly and definitely not worth the money we paid. Wouldn't recommend.
