Paradise Inn by OYO Hattiesburg North

DO NOT STAY HERE. My family is very used to cheaper hotel/motel rooms when traveling so we had low expectations. I expected plain features, some noise, and outdated furniture. This place was on a whole different level and shouldn't be opened. In addition to the extreme noise and tenants who lived in the rooms asking for things from my partner, there was mold on the walls, roaches/eggs in the pictures, exposed wires sticking out of the walls including in the bathroom. The outlet that the TV went to didn't work and we couldn't try another because the cord was screwed to the wall. The blanket had large dirty spots and stains all over it. I could see outside through the gap in the side and bottom of the door as well as a hole by the AC. We went to the office and asked for a refund due to the condition - there was absolutely no hope that any other room was in better shape - and the lady said she wanted to see it, as if she didn't believe us. She saw it and just said "ok". I had to file for a cancelation/refund through the app to get a refund. This place isn't safe at all, inside or out. It isn't safe for children with the wires and no one should be expected to sleep in a bed surrounded by mold and covered in dirt and stains. I have no idea how this place is even opened.

The floor was uneven there was one light when you come into the property one light over the face Bowl. The covers had cigarette burns on them, the towels were very worn, the shower was so filthy that I refuse to get in it! When I booked the reservation it had a breakfast included, which turned out to be not the case. I went to the front desk to find out where they were serving and their response was ******* has not corrected the problem we're not the problem ******* is the problem. For me it was inappropriate while I was there, one lady who had checked in before me was making her third round at getting a key that would unlock her room. I should have walked away then but I was tired and had hope that's the room would be at least comfortable! Boy was I wrong the Light Between the two beds was there without above and I was unable to plug it in because the plug-in portion was not there - cut. What annoyed me most was that the floor was not level. I have problems with my back, and this didn't help! I returned to the room quite late on Friday night and I had been locked out of my room! Who does that? I had to literally drive to the front office to find out what the problem was. I was never told what caused the problem, She handed it back to me and said now it will work! Go figure! Also in attempting to contact the property, I was informed that I was a no-show. I could on! Can i get a refund? The mgrs blamed EVERYTHING ON *******! They were not professional AT ALL!

Waited at front desk to check in for almost 15 minutes. Dead cockroach in drawer. Not a single towel in room. No washcloth, nothing. Literally nothing resembling a towel in the room. Tv did not work. Other occupants were playing music and talking loudly outside. I just left, couldn’t stay.
