What a wonderful hotel. From the time I checked in to the time I checked out the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. If I was being really picky, when I was trying to recharge my phone, all the plug points are on ground level and having mobility issues I had difficulty getting up again. Not sure I would choose room 3 again as there are a couple of steepish stairs. I had poached eggs at breakfast which were perfectly cooked. I was disappointed there were no cereals available but the cooked breakfast was substantial so in the end I didn't feel I had missed out. Am looking forward to staying again next year if they will have me back

We decided to go here for our wedding anniversary meal, based on the beautiful setting that we (or well more I) saw on pictures/photos online. It truly did not disappoint. The setting is stunning, the lights in the trees made it even better. It had a romantic feel to it, which is what we were hoping for. The staff were very attentive & friendly. The (I think she was) manager came over to us once we were seated & wished us a happy anniversary, which we left was a very special touch. They only knew this through us booking with open table & what the booking was for. As for the food, it was amazing & very filling. Husband had chargrilled chicken kebab, there was a lot of food there & very well presented. I had the lamb cutlet dish, this looked & tasted amazing. The food was all cooked to perfection. We had desserts each too, I had banoffee pie, hubby brownie, these were really tasty desserts. We would definitely come back again & will be suggesting here to family & friends. We recently had a one night stay at this great hotel/ pub as a stopover on our way to another destination. It was our third visit and it never fails to impress. All 3 rooms we have stayed in have been beautifully decorated and very clean. There is a huge selection for breakfast and it is cooked to perfection. We hope to be back on our next trip to Norfolk....

Delicious lunch. Service perfect. Very professional and nice waitress Joyce. Will definitely visit again. My brother had the sweet and sour pork which was mouthwatering. I had the hamburger again delicious and very tasty. Crumble for pudding.

Lovely place but found the music in the bar / restaurant quite loud , would have been nicer just in the background. However , the food certainly made up for it . Very clean throughout and staff lovely . If you’re looking for a quiet retreat then this possibly isn’t for you .

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Our room was huge (Room 1) and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and we had a very good meal there preceded by a couple of drinks in the separate bar area! All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Happy to recommend!
