I arrived quite late the night of booking, the check in process was quick and efficient, the front desk clerk pleasant. The room upon entering had a smoke smell, water temp was lukewarm and ac too low so the room was cold. I was too tired so I went in the morning to the front desk to ask if they could please sort out these issues and went to breakfast, by the time I went back to the room all my issues had been sorted out, that was efficient and excellent service.
Now while the water was hot enough it wasn’t hot enough to fill up the tub for a soak however, I had to get out in 15 min as the water got cold.
Breakfast was lovely and the staff are all so accommodating and cheerful! Warm smiles and welcome, I really appreciate the warmth they showed everyone.
The view in the room is good, at night you can see the snow festival lights from bed, bed is soft and comfy and across the hotel about 2 blocks ( 10 min brisk walk) you can go down to the frozen river and take pictures, it’s like your own personal playground. There are even discarded ice blocks that you can make work for your photography.
The hotel has shuttle service going to places but not back, the hotel is far from downtown Harbin where most of the attractions are based. I still enjoyed my stay, thank you for the good hospitality.

The hotel is a great one, however note that it is on the opposite side of downtown and around 40min away from the hotspots such as churches, cafes etc. There are a few great restaurants nearby including the German restaurant Juli. It is easy to get to the Ice and Snow festival (20min) and a beautiful view of the wintery snowy river.

Very beautiful hotel with amazing view on the river. Very wide choice for breakfast both Chinese and Western style. Only thing to improve was room service since food was not very good and was delivered in plastic boxes, but it was also the first day of the year, so it might be possible that this is the reason.

First, I want to thank the staff from the hotel. Peter from the front desk was really helpful, the people working in the restaurant and the housekeeping ladies in my floor (17). The hotel is very modern but the location is tricky. To get there you must ride a cab. I tried to walk from the nearest Metro station (Shimao Ave) but it is over 2 kilometers and with temperatures average -22 wasn't that pleasant. The facilities like the spa and swimming pool were open only with a hand full of guests. The restaurant was open but only as room service. The food wasn't bad at all, a bit on the pricey side but there were not other options. My biggest disappointment was the room. The closet is located in the room's hall and the design is so poor it doesn't even have drawers to unpack the suitcases. When you open the closet you are really blocking the hall.
Near the hotel there is literally no place to go to have a coffee. The nearest place is the MIXC mall that has a Starbucks but you need to take a cab to get there (5-7minutes ride). To get to the city, I took DiDis and rode the metro. The Metro system is AMAZING. You can use other Metro cards (I used my card from Shanghai) It is extremely cheap (4 to 6 RMB) per ride
