Hanoi Esplendor Hotel and Spa

An amazing service, beautiful hotel, great breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, they helped me to prolong my stay when I thought it wasn’t possible. Btw I’m still staying here till tomorrow 😁

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were all very kind and welcoming especially the lovely girl who offered us free lychees while we waited in the lobby. The room was nice and spacious, though we occasionally heard some noise from the floor above. The location is perfect just a short walk to major attractions, great food spots, the lake, and the night market. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

The hotel was neat and clean. The interior of the room was really nice. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also good. The hotel staffs were very cooperative. I would like to recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a cozy hotel with reasonable price.

The hotel is conveniently located, not far from the city center. There are many bars, cafés, laundromats nearby, and the most delicious Bun Bo Nam Bo. The hotel has good sound insulation, so you can barely hear the street. It looks new. At first, we were checked into a room on the 2nd floor. But we almost immediately asked to move to a higher floor due to the smell and because we were staying for a long time. The next day, we were given a room on the 6th floor, which was more spacious. And it was an amazing room. We slept well there, the air conditioner was positioned perfectly and blew downward. On the 2nd floor, the AC blew directly on the bed, so we had to turn it off and sleep without it. It was stuffy and hot, and we barely slept. But we couldn’t sleep with the AC on either, as we would’ve gotten sick due to its position. On the 6th floor, the AC was thoughtfully installed. The room had a large bed, a soft blanket, drinking water, and a minibar. All the bathroom essentials were provided. Spacious shower. Everything was clean. Housekeeping came every day. The room had a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfasts were good — omelets, pho, buns, rice, noodles, fruit, even pancakes, and more. The only downside was that the air conditioners in the dining room were turned on too strong, and on the first day I got a stiff neck. On the following days, we asked to turn them down. There’s a massage service on the first floor, but we didn’t use it. The staff were very friendly. They opened doors, helped with luggage. We had previously stayed in a similar hotel in another part of the city, but it didn’t have the same level of care for guests as this one. It was very pleasant. They also called us a taxi to the airport and let us check out later for an extra fee, which was very convenient. Chris was always happy to see us and incredibly helpful and kind. We might return to this hotel again!

There were pros and cons, but overall I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The pros: The hotel was clean and modern, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. They gave me a late checkout which was nice. They provided an umbrella when it was raining. The staff were mostly friendly. The cons: When I checked in though I was told I was “upgraded” to a city view room - however they basically put me in a room right next to the busy road where because of honking all night I barely got any sleep. They could have done with better soundproofing, and it for sure wasn’t an upgrade. The location on google maps is wrong, so when I returned to the hotel after exploring, I got lost (not ideal as a solo female traveller). I only found the hotel after asking a local who knew where it was. I told the guy at the front desk and he didn’t seem to care At one point I came back to my room and the corridor outside was an absolute mess filled with sheets and a staff member sleeping in the corridor. I could barely walk through it as the floor was totally filled with stuff.

Clean cosy place to stay. Comfortable bed. Kind and polite staff. Breakfast is simple, but it was good. It’s pretty noisy because of traffic but ear plugs fixed it
