Great hotel! Walking distance to West Lake, lobby smells so good, including the hallways and the room. Lobby was also never crowded, which was amazing to relax in. Breakfast was at the revolving restaurant. If you stay long enough, you could go around full circle. Our room had a great view of the lake and the afternoon sunset. If your stay includes breakfast, try to substitute it with a lunch or dinner set menu at Pinghai Restaurant. The food was delicious and a must try. Will surely stay again and won't regret recommending it.

Pleasant environment, rooms with the right size, perfect location. The best part is the breakfast. The restaurant is located on 20th floor. Amazing view and many choices for food.

Check in was efficient and room had a great view of the lake. Breakfast was simple but fresh and adequate, there’s something for everyone. Amenities from the heated toilet seats, Dyson hair dryer, complimentary tea, fruits and drinks, excellent location, wide beds and friendly staff won us over. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Friendship Hotel! Now when we think of Hangzhou, we think of Friendship Hotel too. We will definitely be back so please keep up the good work!

I had a really enjoyable stay at Friendship Hangzhou Hotel with my wife. The room was big, clean, and had a lovely view, which made our stay even more relaxing. The location is excellent—very close to West Lake and within walking distance to shopping malls. We especially loved the breakfast—lots of delicious options and great variety every morning. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hangzhou!

Beautiful and grand hotel. It’s within walking distance to 西湖, which is super convenient for sightseeing. The room was well-equipped and even had complimentary fruits and a coffee machine with capsules. Really enjoyed my stay here!

Great location and service.Have to eat buffet breakfast on the 20th floor rotating restaurant for 360 views of xihu! Highly recommended!!!

Thanks hotel crews 小朱 & other hotel crews.. services are awesome...breakfast served at top 20 floor with full xihu view, food are delicious...the location are so centralized,just waling distance to xihu..take note no free Landry but guest can self wash clothes and hand in side toilet.pick up & drop off to.hotel.lobby , driver need to come from pedestrian

Location is very good although I didn't managed to travel with the nearby MRT. Lots of eateries, shopping mall and convenient stores nearby. Even the famous souvenir shop Zhi Wei Guan main branch just within walking distance. The initial room assigned to us was clean but with a very strong moldy smell even i opened up the windows after few hours. Receptionist is kind enough to upgrade a room on the same floor to me when i returned from sightseeing. Breakfast selections is ok with choices of local and international cuisines.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Hangzhou Friendship Hotel. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around the city. The breakfast buffet spread was decent, but what really makes it special is the stunning view from the revolving restaurant What touched us the most was their exceptional hospitality. Due to our own oversight, we accidentally left something behind. The staff responded quickly and proactively followed up to resolve the issue. To our surprise and gratitude, the item was delivered to us by courier the very next day. The staff truly went above and beyond — incredibly attentive, warm, and always ready to help. It’s rare to experience such genuine care, and we’re incredibly thankful. We’ll definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hangzhou!

Very close to the shopping and eating district, newly renovated room with toilet in room has very good ventilation, walkable distance to Xihu

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had a fantastic experience! The location is excellent—close to the main streets, the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly and always available to assist with any request, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of fresh options. We would definitely return on our next visit

The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful, they helped us with early check in after long overnight flight. The breakfast with the rotating station and the xihu view was unforgettable, as the breakfast is full of variety for you to enjoy the view if you are not in a rush. The location is 10-15 mins walk to xihu and full of shopping and food choices. Though many drivers told us to eat outside for authentic local food and not so expensive.

Everything was great here! Within walking to many shopping malls and West Lake. The doorway was smaller than expected, and the bathroom was also very tiny. There is another small toilet in the 2nd room along with a smaller double bed. Can sleep 4 persons comfortably.
