Very clean and calm environment with good services provided by them, strongly recommended this hotel.

We are a group of 3 people staying at this hotel, the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. They answered all our questions and gave hands to these strangers coming to that city to travel like us. Although they speak a little bit English we both understand very well. Cheap room rate compared to these others. I strongly recommended this hotel.

The hotel is very cute. The first floor is a cafe and the second floor is the hotel. The room has no windows and very small. The location is nice and there are many bikes you can rent in front of the hotel. I love that all staffs were willing to help and communicate. However the moment that I checked out, they aggressively tried to make me write a review and sent me the review message they wanted me to write. I don’t like this kind of thing.

Nearby to West lake, good location. Everything's good, recommend stay here again.

Walking distance to Xihu. Department stores along the way. Cosy room with all amenities needed. Comfy sofa and bed. Nice decoration.

Great location to visit the West Lake, easy metro access from/to the train station, staff is very kind and patient, they went out of their way to help/accommodate me - the language barrier wasn't a problem! While there are signs of wear and tear and some finishings are poorly executed, the design remains esthetically pleasing, the room is quiet, the place is clean, the bed is confortable, the water is hot and the pressure is good. They serve coffee and tea in the morning and you can get breakfast pastries in the bakeries nearby or in the big mall next to the hotel. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and cozy here and recommend booking this place! Please note the correct name is Color Story hotel, and so that is the sign/address you should look for.

The room was cute and very very clean and the bathroom was bigger than I expected. The hotel provided us with towels, soaps, toothbrush and free water. The staff is kind and the hotel is very close to Hefang street and the city centre. Definitely recommended!

Counter staff service was good but hotel amenities was not. Good points: - Service was good, we can request for help from counter staff instantly through wechat messaging. - Counter staff were polite and helped us with luggages, greeted us warmly. - TV was huge, with alot of shows to watch. - Good location: Near Qing he fang, Xi hu, and beside a mall with chagee, macdonalds, heytea etc. - Toilet bowl has warming seat Bad points: 1) Poor cleanliness: Found balls of hair and cigarette butt under the bed. Cleaning staff did a poor job too, does not organise our beds well and did not clean our used cups. 2) Very small sized room for 3 adults. Only suitable for max 2 adults. No walking space, very cramped. 3) Poor toilet: Toilet has translucent glass doors with no lock, lack of privacy when showering. Toileting area and showering area has no divider = Water spilled everywhere and flooding toileting area. Super gross 4) During one of the nights, the electricity short-circuited, whole room went black. After the staff resolved the issue, we realised that the toileting area is still short circuited. we could not flush the toilet bowl as a result and caused difficulties 5) Lack of soundproof between rooms: Heard loud *** noises from the room beside us at night 🥲 6) Due to extreme small sized room, we requested for another room to split our group of 3 up. However, we still needed to pay for it. Although expected, we were slightly disappointed at the hotel’s lack of customer service in providing us solutions to our bad experience. *Note: When checking out, i was told by the hotel counter staff that if I do not give 5 star review, their salaries will be deducted by the boss. This is a super red flag behaviour. I would like to emphasise that counter staff service was awesome. My bad experience was entirely related to the hotel amenities.
