Kailani Suite at Hana Kai Resort

Dreaming of the perfect spot in Hāna? This was it for us. We bought groceries in Kahului and stayed in for most meals. The condo was cozy and cute. We had perfect weather, only one of the 6 days was somewhat rainy. I’d go again and do it all over again exactly the same. Service was great too!

Spent two memorable nights here... Retro/vintage...a welcome step back in time... Recommend Unit #201.End unit on second floor with spectacular views( especially sunrise and sunset.) Convenient location,quiet and scenic manicured garden complete with waterfalls and Koi ponds... Making memories...🏖

Hana Kai Maui - perfect stop at the end of a long day road trip on Hana Highway. scenic ocean view room, large terrace, and a well stocked kitchen to be able to cook a meal and enjoy the view. There are terraces on both sides. Spacious living room. The standing fan was a bit noisy however the breeze in the evening was pleasant to sleep without fan / AC. Convenient parking outside.

We loved our room and ocean view lanai at Hana Kai Resort. Comfy accommodations. No air-conditioning but the breeze off the bay and the ceiling fans did an amazing job at keeping the rooms cool and comfortable. Our favorite part was sitting on the lanai every evening after a busy day of sightseeing and hiking. We ordered takeout dinner each afternoon to eat on the table on the lanai facing the bay. We were in room 204, which overlooked the lower resort building but had a pretty clear, direct view of the water and beach. Staff was friendly and responsive. We had a broken end table on the lanai and our check-in host came to the room, picked it up and returned it within 20 minutes, repaired! Easy walk or drive into the town to stop at the two small stores or food trucks. Staying in Hana allowed us to fit in all the attractions in the area without rushing.

Wow..the views are amazing. I was in the lower building with unobstructed views of the. Water and a corner lanai that did not face any other bldg.. I had the windows open all night , listening to surf crash on the beach. I would go back in heartbeat. Room was incredible, staff was incredible..if I could give them 10 stars I would. Town does close early so either plan on cooking your own meal or but there was one restaurant open.. I did not go. Picked up groceries at the local store to cook breakfast..be prepared it’s pricey($10 for 5 English muffins, $10 for 12 eggs, etc. )

We rented the Oceanfront Studio Unit 2. It had a balcony with a full view of the ocean and great sunrises. It had a full kitchen and because we had been forewarned by the hotel we stopped at Whole Foods and purchased eggs, butter, and bread so we could make breakfast each morning. We did not want to pay $60 for breakfast for two people. The room came well stocked with salt and pepper, coffee and filters, as well as everything in the way of cooking utensils and pots and pans. We have a collapsible Mountainsmith portable cooler that we froze a couple of bottles of water from our hotel in Lahaina and were able to keep everything cold on the 2.5 hour drive to Hana. There is only one choice for breakfast in Hana and you will pay dearly for it. We loved our stay here. Be sure to heed the advice of the inn keeper on purchasing groceries as well as reservations at the state park.
