25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt

We love the 25hr hotels and have stayed in 2 others. We had a large room (35m2) that was great and on the first level. Staff were great, location fantastic as it is very close to the UBahn and is in a good/safe area of Hamburg. The hotel has a great restaurant and bar too. Positives room was great and well-decked out. staff friendly location was very easy and close to all areas of Hamburg via UBahn Negatives It was more expensive that I expected for Hamburg. We were on 1st floor and could hear the noise from the music in the Neni restaurant every night til 10.30. (mostly the music) Would definitely stay again if the prices were right.

My mother (76) and I (46) LOVED our stay with at 25hrs Hafen City. There are two properties next to each other with a larger complex in a modern building next door. We stayed in the heritage building. It has a lift up to the accomodation floors and down to the restaurant which was a great help with her knee. Food was amazing, staff were very helpful especially given our limited German. Location was very walkable to all main sites and we felt very safe. Rooms were clean and eclectically appointed with comfortable bedding. Only constructive item would be a bit more lighting in bathroom but otherwise we loved everything about it and would stay again and recommend.

She offered us a wealth of recommendations for local sights and attractions, including dog-friendly options, which we truly appreciated. The breakfast buffet was excellent, featuring a wide variety of delicious choices to kickstart the day. Throughout my stay, the entire staff remained attentive and accommodating, meeting all my needs with efficiency and warmth. The hotel's pet-friendly policy was another highlight, making it an ideal choice for travelers with furry companions. I highly recommend 25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt for its outstanding service, excellent amenities, and genuine hospitality. The decor was charming, contributing to an overall delightful hotel experience.

I very much enjoyed my stay at 25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt. It was only a 1-night stay (they were fully booked the night after), but I would be very happy to return. The location is great, in the cool HafenCity, and central - I am InterRail-ing and walked to and from the main station and all my sightseeing. As others have described on here, they have so many details interior-wise that contribute to the atmosphere and experience (you should experience it, so I won’t disclose all the surprises). I loved my room (the floor plan is not particularly efficient, but it was very nice, and had a cool feel about it). The bed was very comfy, and just what I needed after a long journey. They don’t have a gym, but have a cooperation with a very nice gym next door, which one can visit for 8EUR/day. I appreciate Nils at front desk organizing that for me in a very welcoming manner even before I arrived. I did not opt for breakfast, but had dinner in their restaurant Neni. Also Neni has a cool feel to it, and service was good - but I wasn’t as excited about Neni as I was about the restaurant named Heimat next-door. Also not a big issue, but on my day of departure, housekeeping was a bit too insistant on trying to enter the room before my check-out. All in all, a very nice stay, and I would be more than happy to return soon. Also, apologies for bothering you with a forgotten item in my room, but I guess it means I have to return via Hamburg also :-)

Exellent hotel, perfect match. HafenCity, perfekt service, good breakfast with delicious coffee! The staff was amazing, friendly helpful and courteous. Ancient building , well designed interior and really good and comfortable. Great experience! we will come back

If you appreciate your sleep, skip this hotel. It seems the rooms near or above the restaurant and bar suffer from the loud noise (music) played in the restaurant. I had the room 110 - which should not be used as a guest room at all. It is right next to the kitchen and they try to replace they restaurant noice with artificial wave noise from 7 a.m. to midnight. Even that noise is not relaxing continuous noise, but it goes up and down. And the noise from the kitchen starts already before 6:30 am. Many people had praised the breakfast but at least for a vegetarian the choices were very limited and not living up to the positive feedback. (And the music blasts also during breakfast!) I have given a more detailed feedback about my personal experiences directly to the hotel management (in writing), but hope this general info helps others.

This was my third stay here and every single one was perfect, no complains at all! Great reception, room and breakfast. Just a couple steps away from the speicherstadt and easy access to public transport in any direction.

So cool hotel in an old building surrounded by only new cool buildings. Had a quiet and beautifully decorated room overlooking the garden - a garantie for a good night’s sleep. Nice bar and efficient and attentative staff. I especially liked the humour in the furnishing and decorating of the whole hotel. Beautiful and witty! We’ll come again.

Housekeeping staff continuously tried to kick us out of the rooms from 8:45 AM on checkout-day (regular checkout-time is 12 noon); entry of staff into room without knocking; staff started room cleaning (before 12 PM) although haven’t checked out yet and our belongings still were in the room; dirty towels provided in rooms; a sock of a previous guest was in the room on arrival. Disappointing and inappropriate customer service after feedback was given. The interior of the hotel and the rooms is very nice and unique. Staff at the bar and in the restaurant were very friendly and obliging!
