Pros: everything is still shiny and new, friendly staff, kitchenette in the room which I found very helpful. They allowed me to check in early and looked after my luggage on the day of departure. Cons: my window looked directly onto an office building which was opposite and quite close. I could see everything they were doing and vice versa, so I felt that (especially as a female single traveller) I had no choice but to keep my curtains closed during my entire stay. For that reason I will not return.

This hotel is very good indeed, but needs a few improvements to be perfect. What's good about it? It's located in a very nice area of Hamburg close the city centre and very close to the Alster lake. The area is mostly residential with lots of local amenities (shops, restaurants) nearby. We really liked the decor of the room. Bed, bathroom, kitchenette: all very good. The hotel allowed us to stay in a double bed room with 2 adults and a child (we brought our own travel cot). Breakfast in the Copenhagen Coffee Lab was amazing. A very nice German breakfast with lots of breads, youghurt fruit etc etc. What could be better? The blinds let in a lot of light from the side. In our room, sunlight was exactly directed towards the pillows. For light sleepers, that might be a pain. During hot summer days, it can get quite warm in the room. While the window opens, it does not open very far and this makes it not as easy to cool the room down in the evening. We're happy for there to be no airconditioning, but the window design should allow for the window to be opened much further. We do appreciate that people in Germany are much more direct than in some other countries. But we witnessed a supervisor arguing with a staff member (housekeeping?) about a contract right outside the hotel at the front entrance. That is not OK.

I stayed a little more than one month in April 2022 in one of the medium-sized apartments. First, it felt more like a hotel than an apartment, but the price was very good at the long-term stay rate. Not hotel prices for basically hotel service. Cleaning was every four days from arrival with some confusion related to holidays. But you just check with the staff about the schedule. The staff are very friendly, helpful and available 24/7. The room was exactly as described on the website. The major downside with the room (which is evident in website photos) is that the kitchen sink is so small as to be almost unusable. Basically the “kitchen”, to the extent there is one, is not really useful for more than periodically frying a couple eggs, which is about all that I used it for. The huge downside is that the neighborhood is very, very upscale and chic and there’s limited low-to-moderate end restaurant options. Forget about fast food. I was constantly taking the bus a half hour to the St. Georg neighborhood to eat out. Another downside was that the view of the inner courtyard from my window was bleak. It desperately needs some trees planted. There was an excellent and large gym in the basement that is basically unused by any guests. Oddly this made it undesirable for working out because of the strange feeling of loneliness working out. I would actually recommend that the hotel make an arrangement for guests with the popular gym next store and shut down the hotel gym. What else? There are many really nice parks walking distance and the hotel is easily accessible to most anywhere in Hamburg with buses or U/Bahn, S-Bahn. I would only not stay here again because I would have preferred to be in a more gritty neighborhood. By the way, the hotel was recommended by a language school where I was taking classes. If this review seems somewhat contradictory, that is ok? Perhaps the summation is that this was a good place to stay, but not a fun place to stay.

Soweit OK, bis auf den Frühstücksbereich. 4x Frühstück, davon 3x ohne Butter, auf Nachfrage kam immer die Antwort:" ist leider aus, könnte dir Honig geben". O-Saft und Besteck gab es nur auf Nachfrage...... Team wirkte nicht organisiert.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, bietet funktionale schöne Zimmer, ähnlich wie Motel One, Parkplätze auch vorhanden, aber das Frühstück ist eine Katastrophe: Qualitativ zwar in Ordnung, aber bis die Bestellung mangels Buffet aufgenommen wird und Du alles auf dem Tisch hast, vergehen ziemlich genau knapp 30 Minuten und das ist für ein Business Hotel einfach inakzeptabel. Das Team ist leider mit dem Konzept überfordert.
