Maya Tangalle was a decadent and luxurious escape from the city. The friendly staff are quick to greet you with smiles and efficient hospitality. The rooms and en suite bathrooms were spacious and large with beautiful accessories. The large pool was delightful and the warm water just washed your stress away. It was a quiet and unobtrusive ambience that helps one relax completely. The food served was absolutely delicious; perhaps the best I have experienced in resort hotels in Sri Lanka. Not just the taste, but the presentation and the service was impeccable. We were served "fried ice cream " for dessert- an original crunchy batter encasing vanilla ice cream that tantalised the taste buds. It was served in a decadent and pristine dining room that resembled royalty. An incredible hotel for a luxurious and peaceful holiday, Maya Tangalle should be your next holiday destination.

One of the most memorable stays ever! A charming resort located in the middle of lush greenery with amazing staff members who took care & looked after us like GOLD! A very special thanks should go to Prashath, Sampath and Executive Chef Asoka and for the rest of the team for their excellent service throughout our stay! Every part of the property is simply elegant. Decorated tastefully with beautiful pieces and amenities. I fully recommend Maya Tangalle for an exquisite stay!

The Maya Tangalle is a hidden gem in the south of Sri Lanka. Nestled in a green oasis, it offers the perfect retreat for those seeking peace. At the same time, it is a logistically ideal starting point to explore the beauties of this impressive island, Sri Lanka, and is surrounded by many attractive and interesting highlights. The journey to the sea is also very short (15 minutes), and you can be taken to a beautiful beach by the Maya team at any time upon request. The “Maya” offers accommodation of the highest standard with its 5 beautiful rooms. The rooms are perfectly equipped, and the large beds allow for heavenly sleep. The entire property is in top condition and is lovingly tended daily by the Maya team. Culinary service at the “Maya” is provided at the highest level, allowing you to enjoy everything from traditional and typical local dishes to any international cuisine style. The highly developed degree and extraordinary willingness and flexibility of the kitchen team to personalize made my Ayurveda stay a special experience. The entire “Maya” team is passionate about making the guest happy and satisfied. Every wish is practically read from the guest's eyes, and as a guest, you are unobtrusively the center of attention in every aspect. Whether in the resort or outside on trips and excursions, the team is always there, very helpful, competent, and above all, very friendly. Special mention should be made of the many massages and Ayurveda treatments that I enjoyed every day. Nadee masters all therapies and treatments perfectly, and for me, these were the best massages of my life. All in all, Maya is a perfect combination of location, architecture, luxurious facilities, high-level service, and cuisine, and it impresses above all with the friendliness and competence of the team. A true insider tip – I will definitely come back.

Wonderful.. repeat WONDERFUL establishment. We gave been to multiple 5 star hotels and yet have NEVER experienced anything like this. The level of service is not seen anymore in this age. I literally cannot put this into words. If you are looking for romantic luxury, a decadent unwinding, a complete and holistic pampering then you NEED to stay here. My wife has never been so happy with anything else I have surprised her with. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this absolutely 5 star treatment you gave us.

My stay at Maya Tangalle was nothing short of perfection! This super luxury boutique hotel exceeded all expectations with its blend of elegance, exceptional service, and serene atmosphere. Each unit is assigned its own butler, and I was fortunate to have Mr. Prashanth and Mr. Sampath, who provided truly unbelievable service, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. The hotel offers its own shuttle service, making it incredibly easy to explore the beautiful surroundings, including a private beach, the Mulkirigala Temple, and nearby waterfalls. The food was outstanding, with no rigid time frames, allowing us to dine and swim at our own pace. There’s also an on-site spa offering relaxing treatments, which added to the luxury experience. Maya Tangalle is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. highly recommend it for anyone looking for a luxury escape!

Managed to find another hidden Gem. Once the ancestral home of the legendary ‘Gajaman Nona’, now converted into a luxury boutique hotel- Maya Tangalle. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty—the service was beyond exceptional, with the staff making us feel completely pampered. The atmosphere of the place is breathtaking, combining luxury with the charm of its historic roots. Since we were the only guests over the weekend, the entire staff made us feel like the place was ours, spoiling us with delicious meals and attentive service. If you’re looking for a serene escape to unwind in nature, Maya Tangalle is an absolute must-visit.

The word to describe this gem of a hotel is 'exquisite.' The decor of our King's Suite was magnificent. The manager, staff and the Executive Chef were kind and attentive and my wife and I were made to feel like royalty. The cuisine was excellent. Lovely swimming pool. Without doubt we would like to return when next in Sri Lanka.

During our short visit to Tangalle, we discovered another stunning place: Maya Tangalle. Built with British and Dutch influences and elegantly restored, it offers a deep sense of luxury. What sets this villa complex apart is its openness to the elements and the surrounding paddy fields. At Maya, the morning light brings forth a serenity akin to an infant's tranquil awakening. The staff's impeccable attention to detail ensures a worry-free stay, accompanied by genuine smiles that brighten each day. The property is simply divine, meticulously maintained with stunning views in a charming local and rural setting. The food was outstanding. Located in a calm and tranquil area, Maya Tangalle helped us relax and enjoy our vacation to the fullest. The rooms were super clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They were well-experienced, super friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The only negative point is that it’s a bit away from the beach, towards the countryside. However, it’s only a 20-minute drive from Hiriketiya Beach, one of the best beaches in the deep south for bathing and surfing, with many restaurants to chill out. It is the perfect combination of a beach holiday, returning to luxury and comfort after the sun and surf. Additionally, two renowned game reserves, Yala and Udawalawe National Parks, are just a two-hour drive away, offering an incredible wildlife experience. The nearby turtle conservations and other attractions are truly amazing and add to the unique charm of this stunning place. A special thank you to Prashan, Sampath, their chef Leo who provided some of the best food ever, and the rest of the team members. Please continue your amazing service for everyone who visits this stunning haven time and again.
