Leopard Reach Yala by Seven Angels

Where do I begin to describe paradise? I am so glad I booked into Leopard Reach as my base for the Yala National Park because I had a truly unforgettable taste of luxury in the jungle. I loved it so much, I stayed two nights. This is a truly special place, with only a few tent-lodges. In fact, I was the only guest on the property, and was treated like a queen. The interior of my room was top quality, with all amenities. And the private mini pool on the terrace was extremely welcome. On both nights I had an exceptional dinner; the first night consisted of a Sri Lankan curry with so many lovely dishes, and the second was an al fresco BBQ, prepared just for me. Breakfast was served on my private terrace. I cannot speak highly enough of Fonseka, the General Manager (the quintessential host) and his trusty team of Randika (what a great guy), Lakruwan (who makes the place run like clockwork) and Kasun (the Chef). Thanks a million.

We stayed for two nights at the Leopard reach lodges. Accommodation was lovely and very well appointed. The experience overall was fantastic, the staff were brilliant and very helpful. The Yala Safari is highly recommended (although is a very long day !) and we also did an evening walking tour with the Leopard reach staff, which was brilliant. Mr Fonseca, the new manager went out of his way to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

We spent an unforgettable family holiday (two adults and one child) at Leopard Reach Yala Lodge by Seven Angels. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome, and the entire team was simply exceptional. The lodge is extremely child-friendly – our little one was lovingly cared for, and we always felt that special attention is given to children here. We were also impressed by their respectful and caring attitude towards the animals, which made the experience even more meaningful. Our stay was full of highlights: • The safari in Yala National Park was thrilling, perfectly organized, and a true adventure. • On our first evening, we enjoyed a magical barbecue under the starry sky, an unforgettable moment. • A private temple tour personally arranged and guided by the manager made our stay even more special. The food was outstanding, fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, anticipating our every need before we even asked. The lodge itself is a small paradise: spotless, well-maintained, with a pool and hot tub, surrounded by peaceful nature, ideal for relaxation and unwinding. If you see any negative reviews, just ignore them – our stay was a dream from start to finish. We wholeheartedly recommend Leopard Reach Yala Lodge to anyone seeking the perfect mix of adventure, nature, relaxation, and heartfelt hospitality. We will definitely return!

I recently stayed at the Leopard Reach Yala a little gem in the JUNGLE. The service and attention to detail by the staff was amazing especially Fonseka. Nothing was too much. We had a BBQ in the evening and camp fire. I was only there for 1 night but will 100% be returning. It’s a mini 5 star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ hotel. AC was perfect and all amenities were very good standards and all working.

This place is a scam.. It does not exist. Would request Trip advisor to kindly NOT promote/recommend it and spoil their own repute. We made an advance booking from India, going by the pics and good reviews only to realise on 26th Dec 2024, that this place does not exist.. After travelling from Galle, the GPS led us to a place called Leopards Reach which was middle of nowhere.. We showed out booking details snd thru said that this was sold a year back and now the owner is somewhere in Malaysia duping people and accepting bookings. With a 10yr old child, it was a nightmare. The location was so remote that the gps wasn't connecting, neither internet. Being peak season, we weren't even getting an alternate option. After a long struggle, we somehow managed to spend the night in some place but it was a truly bad experience.. PLS don't fall for it.. We have requested our tour operator to also lodge a formal police complaint..

I’m not sure how this hotel has such a good Google review. The rooms are amazing, and do live up to a 5* standard. The service and attention to detail everywhere else is substandard and is definitely not worth the eye watering prices. Note also that the reviews mention private safari tours, these come at an additional cost, more expensive than other tours on offer. It seems unfair to offer hotel guests a more expensive tour than they could get separately, especially when the accommodation is already so expensive.
