Welcome to a cozy little slice of heaven. Fabulous rooms, clean, well maintained, bright and beautiful. Exceptional staff, friendly very competent. Friendly, inviting bar, with some of the nicest staff I've had the pleasure to deal with. Plan to dine there as the food is glorious. Fantastic flavours cooked with love. Will definitely be staying again and would 100% recommend.

Just returned from our 3rd stay. Beautiful place, with superb food,. Tasting menu or regular menu always available. Always great attention to detail. Good service too. Always busy in the restaurant because it is good but a lovely quiet place to stay with well equipped rooms. We will definitely stay again.

When we arrived the restaurant was very busy and quite noisy but it was late Sunday afternoon. Despite this we were attended to straight away and as we were early we ordered drinks and asked for a 25 minute wait before ordering our food. This was adhered to and soon after we received our starters. We didn't have to wait long between courses. The food was lovely and tasty. It's good to have items on the menu you don't normally get in other establishments. If you don't like experimenting with food, then this isn't the place for you. Service was Immaculate considering the number of guests. Will be eating here again soon. We also stayed two nights here in a Superior Room. There was everything you needed in the room and the bed was comfortable. The water did take a while to get hot but maybe it had to come some distance. There was a coffee machine and a kettle. Cookies were also left each day. Breakfast was taken in the dining room upstairs where there is also a residents' lounge. Overall a very good relaxing stay in a beautiful area. We walked from the Mill to Shibden Hall, which took about 45-50 minutes.

We wanted to find a great gastropub close to Halifax, and were not disappointed. The food, ambience and staff are excellent; and everything contributed to making our brief stay an enjoyable one. For a short stay in this area, the property is unlikely to be beaten.

Had a marvellous dinner. Welcoming and unobtrusive service. Food excellent and very touching gesture of decorated plate saying Happy Birthday with fruit and chocolates. A lovely evening made very special. Thank-you to all the team at Shibden Mill Inn.

The room was on the small side. Clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent and helpful. The restaurant food is overpriced. I would rate it fair. The Sunday roast beef was delicious but Monday we had the pork chop and it was so so salty we couldn’t eat it.

We went following a recommendation and boy were we glad we did! Wonderful food, friendly and efficient service and such a cute place. The hispi cabbage Caesar salad was a revelation! Just about everything we ate was a fantastic taste experience and we loved the large slice of bread although would have preferred salted butter rather than the specialist ones. Also they don’t really do EVOO for dipping. But overall - wonderful!

We were extremely dissapointed on our last visit as the food was poor. We made a reservation and ate in the restaurant . Six people in our group and all had different dishes from the menu.We all commented on the quality of the food which was no where near the quality of our last visit. We will not be visiting again in a hurry as very expensive for the poor quality.

We had a great experience at Shibden Mill, from the warm welcome on arrival, help with our luggage and a good run through of our room’s facilities. Meal was relaxed with great service and fabulous food. We left something behind which was posted to us without any fuss. Thoroughly recommend, want to go back.
