Constance Halaveli

From the time of exit at Male, Constance staff were with us and checked in for us for the Sea Plane flight to Constance. When we landed we had a welcoming lineup of the heads of department. We felt so welcome. That was were the bar was set, but even more enjoyable were the efforts of The Culinary Team, Executive Head Chef, Hameed, Executive Sous Chef, Madan and Chef Atul. They went and presented with different veg food breakfast, lunch’s and Dinner. Truly Michelin Star quality food and presentation all round. Hats off to them. We had 4 sessions at the spa, and all the therapists were great at what they did. All the ancillary staff were always polite and greeted us whenever they saw us. Also a pleasure to note that the General Manager made the rounds and greeted the guests at least once a day, and the Manager, Vidyadhar Patole talked with us several times during our stay. There were many other staff, including Rakesh Qazi, Mahamed Rasheed, the Sommelier trio of Nishan, Puneet and Akul, Sameera, to mention a few who made this trip for a 60th birthday celebration so special, we are looking forward to seeing them all in the near future. Even before the flight took off, it felt like everything had already been taken care of. Amélie had proved a master in arranging late plans of seaplane commuting via Male. From the welcome at the airport by the host Mr Adhil Ms Rilaath and Darina on arrival at the resort, the journey turned into bliss. At the Jahaz bar bespoke cocktails were immediately crafted to my preferred flavour profiles by Asela and Bandara, whilst chef Malith and Gamini made a swift job of the freshest ingredients at the live station. Fine dining at Jing restaurant overhung the underwater lit thriving lagoon life. The team from Marsan, Shaheeb, Akul the wine Sommelier (special mention for the mature cheese platter pairing with Maury Mas Amiel 1985) as well as chefs Chamara and Vinay played a great partition around seafood and beautiful wines by the glass under the watchful coordination of Max and Sameera. The Sisley spa was another find, with great advice at the reception by Irene and Shanda. Treatment was expertly provided by Ashok, a master in his craft with 15 years experience in reflexology and pressure points therapy. The bungalow was kept artfully decorated and pristine thanks to the housekeeping team under Rakesh and Alan. An incredible welcome display - a special gesture from Mr Le Grand - was installed on arrival. Through my stay the hosts Nihad and Safwam proved real artists in decorating the bed with palm leaves. In villa dining was also a pleasantly elevated treat, from organic wines in the mini-bar to floating tray in the villa pool. Sameera, Damith and Ismael have been very resourceful in assisting under short notice. Mr Jayadewa - swimming pool in charge - was a great conversation on the archipelago and its environment. The snorkeling trips are a must when in the mood to watch turtles or Manta rays but only the immediate omnipresence of the immaculate ocean suffices to a complete change of horizons.

Our stay at Constance Halaveli Maldives was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, the level of service exceeded all expectations. The staff’s warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made us feel truly special throughout our stay. The food was a true highlight—every meal was a culinary masterpiece. Whether dining on freshly caught seafood or enjoying exotic Maldivian flavors, each dish was crafted to perfection. The variety and quality were simply outstanding. The island itself is breathtaking, a true slice of paradise. Pristine white sands, lush greenery, and crystal-clear waters created the perfect backdrop for a dream vacation. The house reef was absolutely mesmerizing. We spent hours snorkeling and were amazed by the vibrant marine life—it felt like swimming in an aquarium! Our sunset water villa was the pinnacle of luxury. Waking up to panoramic ocean views and ending each day with spectacular sunsets from our private deck was unforgettable. The villa’s design, comfort, and privacy truly made it a sanctuary. Whilst every member of staff we met was friendly and welcoming, a few special mentions (in no particular order) to: Nishan - a fabulous sommelier - always a perfect wine paired with each meal Sameera - most hospitable food and beverage manager Hameed Siddiq the talented and very lovely executive chef - 16 years of excellence - the man! Indika - behind the grill Putu - the warmest of smiles greeting us in the restaurants & bar Sandun - barman making tbe meanest of bloody mary’s - wonderful! Constance Halaveli Maldives delivered an unparalleled experience. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, adventure, or indulgence, this resort has it all. We are already dreaming of our next visit!

We spend our 7th Maldives Holiday with Constance Halaveli, staying 17 nights from August 31st until 17th of September. Our expectation was high looking to the great ratings of this resort and we compare to Hideaway Resort, Outrigger Maafushifaru (with both resorts we stayed twice), Amilla but not to Adaraan Prestige Vadoo - our first Maldives visit as the later clearly is two levels down to the other resorts. When we arrived we were somewhat pessimistic - I guess very much influenced by bad weather during our first two days but than we got lucky and had great weather and a fantastic holiday experience until we left with a strong desire to return to this wonderful place which in particular stood out with an unbelievable high standard of hospitality, friendliness and customer service where literally every single employee was making this holiday an experience of its own. Not that other resorts don’t have friendly staff but the level we experienced at Halaveli was unmatched by any other place we have been traveling so far. Every single request or question which reasonably could be solved was immediately taken care of. Halaveli Customer Service: 10 points I normally do not mention staff, but here I make an exception: Chef Madan was simply unbelievable: the consistency of the food, the quick reaction on questions. Or Anna, who always took care of us finding the right seating arrangement, and even remembering that my wife loves salmon sashimi which is not on the menu but still was available without an extra charge or Jay from Sri Lanka cleaning our pool and Iray who mostly was my buddy during my 25 dives over there. The Island rating: 7 points It is quite small (15 minutes walking around), and is more or less entirely surrounded by wave braking walls and certainly is battling climate change, increasing sea levels and the challenge to keep the sandy beach not being washed away. It is a beautiful natural island but compared to Hideaway (10 points) or Amilla (10 points) or even Maafushifaru Outrigger it clearly falls short. On the other side Amilla and Hideaway belong to the largest islands in the Maldives both with a relatively small number of villas and hence offering long beautiful beaches with a complete feeling of Robinson Crusoe kind of loneliness and hardly or none wave protection walls in the sea. House Reef rating: 6-7. the house reef is very basic, limited corals only slowly recovering and clearly falling short to Maafushifaru 9, or Amilla / Hideaway both with a 8 plus. Having said that, I was positively surprised of what you can see with some luck. I was snorkeling twice. On the first day I saw 4 black tip reef sharks, on the last day I saw 2 black tip, two white tip sharks and two Mobula rays all together at one spot close to the SPA on the drop off after having snorkeling for nearly two hours seeing little to nothing. We can’t say enough about the unforgettable experience we had at this incredible resort. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every detail was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. A special thank you to Yousuf, who cleaned our room with such care and creativity, every day was a new surprise with his artistic palm leaf and towel designs. He made sure our room was spotless, remembered our names, and even the little things we cared about. His humor and kindness made us adore him. Putu, our server, was truly one of the sweetest souls I’ve ever met. She made every meal feel special with her warmth and genuine care. She was attentive, and kind, and made us feel like we’d been old friends forever, even though we’d only known her a couple days. When we arrived, Ei greeted us, gave us a tour, and helped us settle in. She was kind, sweet, and even though she was a little nervous (it was her first time), she did a phenomenal job. She’s going to do great things, once she gets her buggy license she will be unstoppable. And I can’t forget Nico, our bartender, who served us with a smile every single time. His drinks were delicious, and he always remembered our names and orders, making each visit to the bar feel so personal. And then there was Vincent, our sommelier, whose expertise and passion for wine elevated our dining experiences to something extraordinary. He guided us through exceptional wine pairings with warmth and charm, always ensuring that every sip perfectly complemented our meals. His enthusiasm and knowledge were a true highlight of our stay. The snorkeling was absolutely unreal; we saw pufferfish, sharks, rays, and even sea turtles. The water was crystal-clear and breathtaking. The food was outstanding, and as someone with gluten allergies, I was blown away by how meticulously they catered to my needs. It’s rare to find that level of attention to detail. We’ve traveled extensively, and I can honestly say the staff here are the nicest, most accommodating, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever encountered at a resort. They make you feel like you’re the most important person there, always going the extra mile to ensure your stay is magical. The beauty of the water and the resort itself is unparalleled. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect. We can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful time every day at Constance Halaveli. It was the best honeymoon for us. Our room and the beach were always kept clean and comfortable. All the staff were kind and courteous. In particular, Jausam, who worked in the beach and pool area, showed exceptional hospitality, always with a smile, and prepared everything we needed from morning until evening. Thank you, Jausam.
