We were travelling to hakuba in the mid summer. Greeted with a very attentive staff helping with the luggages while I waited for my partner to park his car.
Yet for another younger checkin staff, he did not explain anything about the facilities and while I was asking for more information, he kind of despised us for booking thru this platform during the conversation… as a Marriott member, this is not the Marriott standard as I would expect.
The room was clean and spacious, and there were welcome snacks at the lobby.
For the onsen, it smelled like a warmed swimming pool instead of the traditional ones. Saw a few visitors going in without taking a shower … not the hotel’s fault for these wild behaviours but perhaps sticking a more obvious sign with multiple languages explaining that shower is required before onsen may help.
