Very good service hotel. We arrived late for dinner. The staff helped us to contact them for dinner. It was a very delicious shabu.Thank you.

One of our favourite place in Japan, onsen directly on the balcony in your room. They provide with everything from kids slippers to any amenities you can think of they have it. We went to the water park just across the building. Eateries inside the restaurant & other just nearby. Suitable for family to stay in, my boys love this place. Free drinks & ice creams. Breakfast was sumptuous. Just love this place.

A great place to relax. A great garden and great Spa. Do try out the spa if got budget.

An excellent kaiseki and outstanding service—one of the best experiences of my life. The onsen offers a stunning view of the mountains, and there's also a water amusement park nearby with free admission for guests. In the morning, I was greeted with a delicious breakfast featuring a wide variety of delicacies. Recommended.

Long time haven’t been to Hakone, It was a good anniversary trip for us! Overall very good service and Shabushabu is great! Specially thank for their reservation team, very polite and respond is very fast and helpful!

Ten-yu is amazing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The kind staff allowed us an early check-in at 1 p.m. and arranged lounge services for our three-day, two-night stay. While the breakfast buffet was exceptional—an extensive spread paired with bubbles and wine—the Kaiseiki dinner was a bit disappointing in comparison. We were fortunate to experience a picturesque snowfall that transformed the hotel’s surroundings into a postcard-like scene, and since we drove, getting around was never an issue despite the snow. The staff were thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Ten-yu at Hakone Kowakien is a luxurious escape nestled in nature. The private onsen in every room, featuring Shigaraki-yaki bathtubs, is pure bliss. The infinity onsen on the 6th floor offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset. We loved the teppanyaki dinner at the historic Guest House, a true culinary experience. The serene valley garden is perfect for a relaxing stroll. The staff was attentive and the overall atmosphere was incredibly tranquil. Highly recommend for a rejuvenating getaway! Don't miss the delicious sashimi and crab for breakfast!

One of the nicest hotel I've been to so far! The buffet breakfast selections are crazy, crabs for breakfast? Count me in! From my room, there's a crazy view of the Hakone valleys especially during sunsets. The staff are very nice people who provided the best for my stay. I was celebrating my anniversary with my partner and they offered a free pass to the bar & lounge. Would definitely come again the next time.

This is the best ryokan so far for my family. The best point of this place is dinner and breakfast. We came here twice while 1st time we had kaiseki set dinner and 2nd we tried buffet which both of them were superb. It feel fund to have buffet while feel luxury when had fine dining set menu. The strongest point of all meal in this hotel are material quality and varieties. Public open air bath is great because location of this place is on the mountain and fresh air is the thing to remember and appreciate. Service and hospitality in hotel was so impressive. Averagely this place is about double of other ryokan in the same area but I feel cheap when compare to other place that price is only half but feel expensive when compare with Hakone kowakien tenyu. I would suggest to book fine dining set menu for your first time. When you choose this hotel please try the month that weather is cold since it will increase the satisfaction of enjoying open air bath.

One of the best hotel I’ve stayed throughout my Japan trip. Service was excellent. The room and the bathtub was good and really comfortable. My partner and I felt the dinner and the breakfast was really good. High quality ingredients and lots of variety. I would recommend going to the open air public onsen to check out the view (when it is not foggy).
